We bought our Tucson used, with about 70,000 miles on it. It was in excellent condition when we bought it. Our version has leather seats with upholstery inserts, and it allows for great comfort. The leather makes it look stylish while the upholstery keeps it warmer or cooler. So far, the car has performed satisfactorily. We get about 20 mpg in city, and about 24 highway. We have had the car for two years and have not had to do any repairs, beyond standard oil changes, brake pads, etc. We are impressed, as well, with the car's versatility. The seats fold up for more trunk space, which is pretty spacious as is. We have twins, and I can fit both travel high chairs, a double stroller, the diaper bag, and more in the trunk. Plus, the trunk floor lifts up for access to the spare tire, and th... (more)
Story
This is the car that we brought our newborn twins in. We bought the car shortly before they were born, so the 1/2 drive home from the hospital was the slowest drive ever, because we didn't want to hurt the car or the babies.
Pros
The best thing about this vehicle is its size. It's more spacious than a car, with a large trunk capacity, but more compact and gas-friendly than a full-sized SUV. Another great feature is the combination leather and upholstered seats. The leather makes it look classy, and keeps the seats cleaner, while the upholstery keeps the seats a decent temperature, and is more comfortable than leather.
Cons
The gas mileage is not the best, though it may be pretty comparable. On average, we get 18-20 mpg in the city, and 22-24 highway. The car also does not come with many features. Ours does not have an in-dash gaps, or a multi-CD changer. It does not have a sunroof or seat warmers either. It is a pretty basic crossover. Finally, the inside dash shows every speck of dust. We keep a duster in our car to wipe it down, otherwise the car looks super dirty.

If you are looking for an inexpensive SUV with the features of a more expensive one, the Hyundai Tuscon is for you. I bought mine used for under $10,000 and have been driving it for four years with no problems. It gets decent gas mileage and has been fairly easy to maintain. The only upkeep I've had to do has been routine oil changes.
Story
I think this vehicle is strong. Once when I was in a gas station paying for my gas inside, a lady hit my parked SUV hard. She came in to tell me, and I noticed her vehicle had some damage. But my SUV looked like it hadn't even been hit.
Pros
This vehicle looks a lot more expensive than it really is. Mine is a sophisticated looking dark gray with nice wheels. The music system is awesome. I love that it has a USB port so I can plug my memory stick in and play all my MP3s without the hassle of carrying around 100 CDs. There is also plenty of room inside. If you are looking to haul something larger, the back seats can be folded down.
Cons
I really have no serious complaints about this vehicle. But if I had to nitpick, I would say sometimes there is excess cabin noise when you are going on bumpy roads. This is due to the rubber lining bouncing in the very rear. I would also say that this SUV is not a true off roader. While I have never tried, it just doesn't feel like it could take the beating of going over boulders and through the bumpy landscape.
