Decent crossover.
We bought our Tucson used, with about 70,000 miles on it. It was in excellent condition when we bought it. Our version has leather seats with upholstery inserts, and it allows for great comfort. The leather makes it look stylish while the upholstery keeps it warmer or cooler. So far, the car has performed satisfactorily. We get about 20 mpg in city, and about 24 highway. We have had the car for two years and have not had to do any repairs, beyond standard oil changes, brake pads, etc. We are impressed, as well, with the car's versatility. The seats fold up for more trunk space, which is pretty spacious as is. We have twins, and I can fit both travel high chairs, a double stroller, the diaper bag, and more in the trunk. Plus, the trunk floor lifts up for access to the spare tire, and there is more storage there as well. Our version came with a trunk mat and a cargo net. I also appreciate that this car fits both rear-facing car seats with a decent amount of legroom for my husband and I, and still room for someone to sit in the middle.

Solid reliable SUV
If you are looking for an inexpensive SUV with the features of a more expensive one, the Hyundai Tuscon is for you. I bought mine used for under $10,000 and have been driving it for four years with no problems. It gets decent gas mileage and has been fairly easy to maintain. The only upkeep I've had to do has been routine oil changes.
