Great truck for camping, city driving and in the snow.
I bought this truck used but it was in great condition and had under 60K miles on it. To date, I've had it for about 6 years, nothing of major significance has broken and what maintenance I have done has been fairly simple and easy to do on my own. It has a decent towing capacity and is yet to disappoint me in inclement weather. Where I live we get a bit of snow in the winter and every time we get a new layer I'm able to drop it into 4WD and plow through the wall of snow (from the plows clearing the streets) at the foot of my driveway. I've taken it camping several times and have slept in the bed instead of hassling with a tent. It has a small back seat that I think is suitable for smaller adults and children but, it's been my experience that grown men do not fit well back there!

Constant repairs and low gas mileage make this car not the best.
What I like about the vehicle is how it handled and drove. It was great at driving when it actually worked, but many times, I would run into a problem at least once or twice a month. Getting it fixed was relatively cheap compared to other cars, but when your car is breaking down week after week, the expenses add up. That is my biggest gripe with this car and all other Dodge cars is that they are not dependable in the long run. What I did like about the car was the overall layout of the car. I had the Dodge Dakota without the extended cab, and to me, it was perfect. Everything was compact, and I didn't have to work much about my back seat or having any issues with that. The radio was out of date, but what can you expect from a 1998 Dodge Dakota? And it is totally upgradeable. Overall, this is not a bad car. I just wish it had better dependability. If this car ran more stable and did not have constant issues, this would be a very nice car.
