This truck has been amazing since I bought it. I have never had any major issues. I live in a cold climate and it has never let me down no matter how cold. It rides great and has good power for towing with the V6. The air conditioner is cold and I have had very little problems with it. Great heat and its insulated well. It pulls a heavy trailer, boat, or jet ski with no problem. I even filled the back with wood, helped people move and never had any power issues. There is plenty of storage under the seats and also plenty of leg room. The engine is easy to access and work on. I have replaced a few things over the years. I was easily able to do any work on my own with plenty of space. Maintenance cost was very low and parts are easy to come buy. I did my cap and rotor and all 6 plugs for ... (more)
Story
I towed my jet ski around every year to the lake and filled the back up with camping equipment.
Pros
Good engine power Hearty Suspension Excellent transmission Comfortable ride Nice styling
Cons
The clear coat has been peeling and I think this is common. I had to replace brake lines in the front at less than 100k miles. The door locks started sticking on the drivers side. Gas mileage is not great. Less than 20 mpg average.

I've put thousands of miles on this truck, and no bad engine issues yet. I also change oil and maintain it regularly. Through time, only small things needed replacing, such as shocks, struts, battery, thermostat, tires. The four-wheel drive unit has held up well and is dependable. No rattles or noises over time. A small issue with the transmission was fixed by adding liquid. Overall, it has been a fantastic truck that I enjoy driving. Body has held up well with minor rust issues, due to treated roads in winter but not anything some bodywork could fix fast.
Story
Just driving it on the open road to events or on rougher forest trails in the mountains. It's a good-looking and fun truck that does what is asked of it—as long as regular maintenance is done to keep it nice.
Pros
The engine performs perfectly after thousands of miles on it. The four-wheel drive works fine in low and higher gears all the time. Starts right up every time without trouble. Engine has lasted without any major repairs or replacing. I love the V8 engine power. It hauls well and carries weight in the bed very well.
Cons
Nothing major that hasn't been reasonable over time and the miles I've put on it. The transmission has had a small issue in gears shifting inside. I've heard that Dodge trucks can have that trouble intrinsic to them. I haven't rebuilt it yet—a friend told me to add a liquid additive into it that helps the smooth shifting gear issue—and that has worked. Tranny still works well.
