This is a great truck. I've been driving it for many years now and have very little problems with the truck. It is a great all around truck from daily driver, to a work truck hauling a big load. It has a comfortable amount of room for 2 people and maybe a smaller person in the back. I purchased the extended cab for a work truck and it works well for filling huge loads in the back. However, the cab is a bit small and carrying passengers can be an issue. If you are only carrying a few people it is fine. Only in recent years have I had some major issues with the air conditioning only turning on at 4 when 1, 2 and 3 do not work. There have not been too many mechanical issues other than oxygen sensors failing and the dealership not knowing what the issues were. It still runs great at almost... (more)
Story
Me and my buddies like to go mudding in the cane fields after a rain and this V8 rips up the mud fields like no other!
Pros
My favorite feature of the truck is the V8 engine. It has more than enough power to get up hills when packed full in the back and towing a load. I have carried hundreds of pounds in the back and the suspension and engine never fail. It is a stick shift so it has a little more versatility but overall I took very good care of the car, with oil change, air and oil filter changes, and brakes. The maintenance is key in making a truck last but this truck is almost at 200k work miles of heavy loads and hill climbs and driving down very rough roads. The interior is very comfortable with the basics... (more)
Cons
There were some negatives, such as the 4 wheel drive breaking at 120k. Or the oxygen sensors going out around 70-80k. The oxygen sensors were one of the biggest troubles because the dealer had no idea how to fix it. I took it in, they reset the CPU and then the light came back on and I had to bring it in again. It was such a hassle and very expensive to change the first time. After that, I just replaced the sensors with bolts similar size to plug up the holes. The engine light is always on but I have not had issues with it other than the oxygen sensors. Some other negatives were the air co... (more)

The truck's engine was amazing. This thing took some major abuse from me. I never did the oil changes on time and this thing still works like a champ. It tows my boat with no fuss at all. It towed it up the mountains of TN. There can be something to desire about the gas mileage. Even on the highway it still drank the gas. It has 150k miles on it and still sounds like it has 20k. I have never had to change anything other than the alternator.
Story
I was just getting out of the army and I was cleaning my truck out and lifted up the back seat and found a old chicken nugget.Thing is the only person that eats chicken nuggets is my daughter and she hasn't been in that truck in 6 years.
Pros
This truck was able tow to my boat with no problem. I helped many people move and it never had any problem towing. It most defiantly has enough engine. This truck would spin its tires on dry road if you hit it too hard. I could pass just about anybody going up the mountains of TN. The truck handled really well. Like I said before I have never had anything really go wrong with the truck. The factory battery lasted 9 years so that was a great bargain.
Cons
The price for this truck was a bit crazy at 28k back in 04. That was almost the reason I didn’t buy the truck. Another con would have to be how easy the center console broke. I mean the interior in all was really cheap. From the fabric of the seats, to how cheap the plastic on everything. The truck bed was also kind of small. This made it hard to really moved large things. The rims also have a ram symbol in the middle of each of them and they easily popped off; now I have to replace most of them.
