I feel in love with the overall design of the 2002 Ford Expeditions when they first hit the market. I loved their sleekness and handling even though they were a very large vehicle. I looked and looked and looked for just the right model and color combination. I finally found it several months later and I rushed to the dealership to take it for a spin. The sleek solid black exterior with chrome trim and black tinted windows was absolutely beautiful. The dark grey leather interior with premium sound system, 6 cd changer, rear radio and climate controls and sunroof/moon-roof combination was the icing on the cake, so to speak. However, the great big cherry on top was the 5.4 liter engine. This vehicle was perfect and EXACTLY what I was looking for. I couldn't believe it. Of course... (more)
Historia
When my daughter was younger and we had just moved to our area, she loved to take our Expedition to the beach and recline in the back of it when the sun got too hot in the late afternoon. It was great! We could still enjoy the sea breezes without the blistering sun.
A Favor
The interior still looks great after 165,000 miles as well as the exterior paint, moldings, trim, etc. I love that I can take 8 full size adults for a ride without anyone being uncomfortable and the space to haul things is enormous. You can carry loads on top in the luggage racks, on the back in the towing hitch and you can remove the back seat and lay the middle seats down to make a flat hauling area in the back of the Expedition. It's wonderful!
En Contra
The only problems I've had are the leveling system went out and the back door lock/latch quit working. The gas mileage of 15 mpg in city is not the best, but not too bad for this big of engine.

I like how large my truck is. I can transport many friends around, and I have space for large objects like furniture. I have owned my truck for 8 years. It has kept me safe in many accidents. I dislike how much gasoline it consumes, but it is worth the protection.
Historia
One time, my brother got his F-150 stuck while he was having fun mudding. My father brought his f-250 to get him out f his predicament. My fathers truck ended up stuck as well. The expedition easily pulled both truck to safety.
A Favor
My favorite feature is how high up I am. I don't have to squeeze into my vehicle. Its easy to climb into. I also like how smooth it travels. It is a very quiet vehicle which is also pleasant. Navigation is simple. I also don't have any blind spots. I have been in accidents cause by other, and my tough truck never gets damaged badly. I feel it's extremely safe as log as it doesn't flip over. The polyester seats are very comfortable. The back seats are even better than the front ones! I am fond of it's ability to go off-road. I have never been stuck thanks to this truck.
En Contra
I dislike the amount of gas I go through. All my money goes toward gas. This truck also tends to breakdown fairly often. Major breakdowns that cost me a fortune. Another thing that I don't like is that I can't park next to curbs without hitting them.
