I have owned my truck for 14 of her 19 years. Yes, it's a her. When I bought her in 2003, she had 73,000 miles on her. Now? Now she's pushing 300k hard driven miles. She has gone cross-country and back (coast to cost) three times, twice pulling a loaded trailer. She has never once left me stranded, for any reason. She has gone off road without a problem, through creeks and rivers, and up some of the highest altitudes in the USA and never lost power or torque. She has been driven through hurricane force winds, tornado weather, in the ice-cold snow storms in the mountains and in the blazing hot deserts with 80mph sand storms. She has withstood it all and still purrs like a kitten. My husband often jokes that I love her more than I love him. No, I've just loved her longer ;) In all seriousness though, other than basic up keep, she has never required any heavy mechanical work. There are no knocks or rattles. I've even boosted the tire size and you cannot hear it inside the cab. I've often said that she is a 4x4 stuck in a 2x4 body, because the power and torque of this truck has shown many competitor's four wheel drives to shame.

Third Ford truck that I've owned. This one is like the others have been: reliable, dependable and relatively low-cost to maintain. Purchased used with 110k miles and no unusual maintenance three years and 35k miles later. Definitely will buy another.
