I love my truck. It run smooth all the time. I haven't had it break down ever. It continually works. I am able to tow most things and was able to move 2000 miles while towing everything I own.
Story
I watched fireworks on the 4th in the back of the bed.
Pros
Reliability, and power are my favorite features. But I also love the aux input for my iPod.
Cons
It needs a better amplifier for sound.

This is a very tough truck, with four-wheel drive and a manual transmission. I have taken it on some gnarly back roads, and the four-wheel drive had no problem. It can carry quite a bit in the truck bed. I have filled it many times with firewood or stuff to bring to the dump.
Story
The first week I had the truck I was traveling about 400 miles to central Pennsylvania. I stopped about midnight and found a spot in the woods where I intended to set up my tent and camp for the night, but I was so tired that I just rolled my sleeping bag out in the bed of the truck and camped under the stars. There was a whippoorwill not far off who was singing to me. It was a nice way to bon... (more)
Pros
It is a tough truck and well built. They are expensive but hold their value and are worth the cost. The inside is very comfortable and has a nice sound system. It drives really well, either on the highway or on the backroads and has very comfortable seating. It is very capable for towing a boat or trailer. There are also nine cup holders, perfect for refreshments on hot summer days. My kayaks fit nicely in the back, and I'm sure I could fit a half dozen goats in the back too, if I had any need to ever move goats.
Cons
Tacomas are expensive. The fuel economy could be better for the truck. Modifications and add ons are somewhat pricey for the Tacomas. I wish that the max volume on the sounds system could be higher so I could listen to my Enya at full volume while splashing through mud puddles. The bed of the truck only came with two tie down points, which makes it tough to secure cargo or my kayaks.
