My 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD off road is awesome! This is the perfect truck for recreation. The crawl control feature makes off roading a cinch. The interior is updated from the previous generation Tacoma -- something that was much needed. The display is the perfect size. It has great features and is incredibly user friendly. The OEM wheels give the truck a rugged look. I have the four-door crew cab. The extra space is nice for short jaunts around town, but I'm hesitant to go on any long trips with passengers because of the limited leg room. The four-wheel drive works awesome. The rear differential lock is a great feature. I just wish a front diff lock was included as well. I opted for the short bed as opposed to the long bed. I think, from a styling point of view, the short bed is more a... (more)
Story
This past winter, we had a terrible snow storm. I work up a canyon that gets shut down to regular traffic if the conditions are poor enough. I threw my truck into four-wheel drive and was the only car able to cruise the highway up the canyon.
Pros
My favorite features are the Entune entertainment system and the cruise control.
Cons
The leg room in the rear seat is lacking, and the short bed requires more strategy to haul bikes and other gear.

I purchased a Toyota Tacoma TRD-Off Road pick-up last year. I have loved it! It is an attractive truck with many great safety features. It is big enough to cart around children yet small enough to navigate through tight parking lots or off road trails. The rugged exterior makes it stand out, while the interior gives you the feel of luxury.
Story
We took this pick-up camping and towed our trailer with canoes to our favorite lake. We used the crawl feature to get unstuck from the mud and it worked fantastic!
Pros
My favorite features about this truck include the safety features. There are side impact air bags along with the standard driver and passenger air bags. The blind spot monitors in the mirrors alert you to cars in your blind spots. The back-up camera helps guide you safely and is easier to use than physically turning around and looking. When backing up to a trailer you can literally see where to line up the hitch. The stereo and touch screen controls make it easy to change channels or call someone hands free without being distracted from the road. The integrated steering wheel controls help... (more)
Cons
My top negative things about this truck have to do with the back-up camera. If the tailgate is down then the back-up camera is not usable. The warning sound goes off and all you see if the tailgate. It would be better if there were more than one camera angles to see. Also looking over the hood is difficult unless you are extremely tall. When pulling into parking spots you can not see if you are within the lines.
