What I like about it is the fact that it is a smaller truck. As such it is easier to take to the big cities. What I dislike about it is the fact that it does not have a strong enough engine for towing power. I use this truck for agriculture work and put simply you cannot tow anything past a trailer full of animals. I towed a fertilizer spreader one time with it and it was too heavy. The truck would not roll/move without it being in 4 wheel drive on a dry day. In the end I am probably going to have to have to but a second truck with better towing capacity. That is going to be at toss up between a Ford or a Dodge with a Hemi engine. Inside it has good seating room and holds all my stuff adequately.
Story
I like to drive my pickup truck to Luckenbach and listen to the live music that plays on the weekend. It is mostly Country music that is playing but occasionally you can hear some jazz or bluegrass. Ice cream and food fenders are always on hand to provide standard American eats such as hamburgers and ice cream. Lately I have been going with friends after a long day of work to enjoy ice cream. ... (more)
Pros
The pros are the fact that it is a smaller truck and as such can fit in smaller places. It also has comfortable seating for a truck. All trucks do not have the suspension of cars but it does most jobs well as a work truck.
Cons
It does not have the towing power that I need so I will wind up needing a second truck pretty soon.

I was looking for a small pickup truck to handle light daily hauling. I wanted something reliable, good on gas mileage, easy to handle, and small enough to navigate heavy city traffic and to fit into tight parking spaces with no issue. I had an older model Toyota Tundra about a decade ago, and initially wanted to get a newer Tundra, but they're gotten so big that it didn't really suit my lifestyle anymore. The Tacoma has all the positive qualities I saw in the Tundra, but with a more compact body and better gas mileage! I love this truck.
Story
My son loves riding in my Tacoma. His dad has a much larger truck, but the back seat is cramped in it. Every time we go out, my son asks, "Are we taking mommy's truck today?" He looks crushed if the answer is no!
Pros
I fell in love with the truck because I felt comfortable sitting in the driver's seat, and my son is a fan of the roomy back seat area, too. Like Doctor Who's Tardis, it's compact enough to fit into tight spaces, but it seems to be much bigger on the inside! I also appreciate that I can get pretty good gas mileage in the Tacoma (as long as I don't try to zoom around like Speed Racer - it's a truck, not a sports car!) So far, this has been an incredibly reliable vehicle. It's my daily driver, and with regular oil changes and maintenance, I've never had any major issues. Never had any mi... (more)
Cons
The only real cons I can think of involve speed and hauling capacity. This is a small truck, it isn't intended to carry huge cargo loads, and if you need to carry heavy equipment or haul an RV around the country, this is obviously not the right truck for your needs. As far as speed, the Tacoma does just fine hanging out at 80 mph, but she takes a while to get up to speed. If you're the kind of person who wants instant zero-to-60, you might want to consider a different vehicle. If you want a steady, reliable truck that can handle going the speed limit, this is it!
