I REALLY LIKE MY TRUCK. IT HAS PLEASING AESTHETICS. IT IS VERY COMFORTABLE. IT DRIVES SMOOTHLY. THE 4X4 CAPABILITIES HAS GOTTEN ME OUT OF A COUPLE OF TIGHT SPOTS. IT SHIFTS VERY SMOOTHLY. PLENTY OF EXTRAS TO MAKE MY COMMUTES EASY. PRETTY GOOD GAS MILEAGE FOR A TRUCK. MY DOG REALLY LIKES THE PASSENGER SIDE. IT IS CONVENIENT TO HAUL DIFFERENT BUILDING MATERIALS AND HELPING FRIENDS MOVE. IT IS EASY TO HANDLE AND THE BED IS NOT TOO LONG FOR ME TO MANEUVER WHEN BACKING UP OR PARKING. THIS TRUCK IS ONE OF MY BEST PURCHASES. I HAVE OVER 90,000 MILES ON IT RIGHT NOW AND THE ONLY MAINTENANCE I HAVE PERFORMED IS CLEANING, OIL CHANGES AND TIRES. TOYOTA HAS A HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE WHICH IS WHY I PURCHASED IT TO BEGIN WITH. THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE AND THIS IS A PERSONAL PREFERENCE IT THAT I BOU... (more)

I CAN'T THINK OF ANY.

I BOUGHT THE REGULAR CAB AND I WISH I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE EXTENDED CAB FOR THE EXTRA ROOM

I think this is a wonderful truck for someone who is looking for a midsize pickup. It has been able to handle any number of truck-related tasks. I have put it through the ringer these last few years, and it is still going strong. Like any vehicle, it is important to take car of a Tacoma, and if you do so, you will be rewarded with a truck that lasts for years on end. Obviously, it is a pick-up and not a luxury sedan or SUV, so the ride can be bumpy at times, but I think that is part and parcel of buying something in this class of vehicle.
Story
Went to a sports festival last year and thoroughly enjoyed being able to load everyone I was with into the back and go from place to place.
Pros
Runs strong after 5+ years and should run strong for 20+ years. The color of the vehicle is a dark green verging on black, and I honestly find it to be my favorite vehicle color. Despite being a truck, you still get adequate to good gas mileage. The Bluetooth works seamlessly, and the steering wheel has radio controls, so everything is convenient to use and not a potential distraction.
Cons
As with almost any four-door pick-up, the back seats have more space that an access cab but are still nowhere near the space provided by a regular 4-door sedan. I chose to get a short bed because it was a 4-door model and did not want a truck that stretched for days, but the short bed is sometimes too small to transport bigger items. I would recommend getting a bed extender for such situations.
