The best thing about my vehicle is that it has a great reputation for safety. Volvo is well known for creating a safe vehicle. When I get into my sedan I feel like I'm driving an army truck. In my household there are two Volvos. One happens to be almost 12 years old and it still drives like a dream. I've rented a lot of cars when I've travelled and frankly they do not stand up to the classic, good quality of a Volvo. The interior of the car is slick and simple. If you like flashy things, this is not the car for you. The car radio is very unique since it's almost floating away from the console. The 2012 version is very spacious with plenty of leg room for back seat passengers. The 2004 version is a much smaller sedan and might not be as nice for long road trips. When driving on the expr... Story
One of my favorite stories is actually parking my car at work. There were two other people at my job with my same car. Model and everything. We would make an effort to park next to each other and claim to everyone that we set up a volvo dealership outside.
Pros
I want to say that the best thing about my car is how safe it feels. It doesn't feel like a toy car. When I get into my car, I don't worry about the car breaking down on the express way or any of the parts failing to work. I also love how spacious and luxurious the interior feels. The tan leather in my car gives it a very sophisticated feel. I think the consoles and radio are very well designed.
Cons
The gas mileage is the biggest problem I have with this car. It isn't very fuel efficient and I do a lot of driving so it hits my wallet pretty badly. The other thing I heavily dislike is that since it's a foreign car the repairs can be very, very expensive. Even something simple like an oil change can cost 200% more than on a regular, less expensive sedan.

2012 Volvo S60 - A fantastic and trustworthy car.

I own a light gray Volvo s60 that was previously leased. I bought it at a very reasonable price from a dealership. It has truly held up spectacularly in the four years that I've had it. It is very speedy (when I need it to be) and provides a very smooth driving experience for the most part. However, sometimes the brakes catch a bit and cause the car ride to be a bit bumpy when slowing down. My car came with a built-in navigation system that I use almost every day, and it has never let me down as it is very reliable. The sound system in the car is crystal clear. I got into an accident not too long ago, and the car was hardly damaged. I left the accident without a scrape because of how safe Volvos are to drive. While the car is small, it doesn't feel claustrophobic at all, and the trunk ... (more)
Story
I recently went on a road trip across the United States with my boyfriend in my Volvo. The car took us to many fantastic spots such as national parks, amusement parks, and museums. I'm glad I had such a reliable car for this huge trip as it took out the worrying.
Pros
Safety and crystal clear navigation are the two best features of this car. I know I can always rely on the car to get me where I need to be quickly, easily and safely.
Cons
Volvos are quite expensive to maintain. The Volvo also has choppy brakes, causing bumpiness in the ride. The gas mileage is not good, and it is very expensive to fill the tank, even though it is a small car.
