My 2014 Volvo S60-T5 has been the best car I have ever owned. I had heard all about the safety and reliability of the Volvo brand, so I made up my mind that I would finally try one of their products. I feel like I made a great choice. The S60 has contemporary styling, and is very pleasing to the eye. Under the hood there is a 2.5L 5-cyl. Engine. And I went with the Turbo 6-speed Automatic transmission. The S60 has great acceleration for a car of this size and weight. The car is comfortable inside with a luxury cabin interior. I am over 6 feet tall, and I have plenty of leg room while driving. So far, I am averaging slightly better fuel economy than what was posted when I purchased the vehicle. The sticker said 21, but I am getting about 24 in the city. The S60 is fun to drive, and ... (more)
Story
I took my new S60 on about a 1200 total mile road trip about a month after I got the vehicle. It was the most comfortable drive I ever had driving that kind of distance. Road noise was minimal, and it was a pleasure to drive.
Pros
The pros of my 2014 S60 are definitely the safety and reliability of the Volvo brand. The S60 comes with a "city safe" safety feature that can warn the driver and stop the vehicle if a low-speed collision is about to happen. Another big pro is the overall quality. I got tired of the regular repair bills from my previous Germany luxury autos. The S60 has had no repair work, except for routine service and maintenance.
Cons
There are really no major cons that I can think of. Some minor cons would be that I wish the S60 would get in the upper-20s when it comes to fuel economy in the city. Right now I am averaging about 24 MPG while driving in the city. Another minor con would be the space in the backseat. Anyone over 6 feet tall is going to be cramped in the backseat when it comes to legroom. However, the front seats have plenty of space for the legs.

I've loved my S60 since the day I drove it off the lot. You really can't beat the quality of the interior in this car with the soft leather and high-end finishes such as the modernly designed center console. Drives very smoothly even after driving it more than 15,000 miles a year, and doesn't take much pressure on the pedal to get this car to move even in the winters here in Indiana, which often times mean sheets of ice and tons of snow. The only thing negative I would say about this car is that oil changes are not very cheap and that any repair needed, even minor ones such as sensors are very expensive and not friendly to the wallet.
Story
The most memorable thing I did with this car was take it up to my parents' house for the first time 100 miles away from where I live. It was fun to take it on a mini-road trip that is normally a boring drive. And being able to show off my new car to my parents and make them proud of everything I've accomplished, as Volvo's are kind of a status symbol for accomplishment.
Pros
The biggest thing I like about the car is that it's very modern, but very classy. Most cars look either classy, like an old people car, or too sporty, but Volvo seemed to put a lot of thought into the design of the S60 to make it look like a modern, functional yet stylish car. I also love that my car drives very smoothly even at over 30,000 miles, and I have had very few repairs needed on the car. I also love that it has heated seats and the dashboard is very streamlined.
Cons
There isn't much negative to the S60, except the cost of oil changes and repairs. I think the pros outweigh the cons, but you have to be prepared to spend a lot even if minor repairs or tune-ups are needed.
