After taking a short ride on this awesome SUV, I came to know that the car easily manages to clear the terrains. The Indian roads as all know the conditions of them; but the dual suspension of the car makes the bumpy roads feel smooth. The best thing I liked on Chevrolet Captiva is the power it generates. With the power of 148bhp at 4000rpm, I drove it to a top speed of around 200kmph. I was astonished to see the acceleration which touched the mark of 100kmph in just 9.4 seconds. With great comfort of the car due to the large leather seats, I feel relaxed even after a long drive. Folks, I am in love with the exteriors of Chevrolet Captiva given to it by the GM. I feel it has a girly look in the SUV segment, which makes more heads turn to it! Because of the diesel engine, I don’t regret on driving more as it provides a great mileage in its class. The muscular SUV delivers a mileage of around 11kmpl in harsh traffic which increases to 14kmpl in open highways. Chevrolet Captiva price is Rs.18-25 lakhs but it also provides some significant and advanced tools with it. Like, I was very happy to see the Air Bags and ABS for extra safety. The automatic and manual gearbox system makes the driving much more easily. I believe, Chevrolet Captiva India must be feeling proud to be launched
Look and style: first off, the sporty look of the car itself keeps me radiant. Both the interior and the exterior of the car are quite impressive, the best in its class. The wood grain in the interior feels more satisfactory than the other models in its segment. Also, the Champagne colored seats make it look like the car is mobile Versailles. The streamline shaped body of the car is just exceptional and the perfect SUV for the Indian roads. Comfort: after test driving the Toyota Fortuner, Renault Koleos, Audi Q7, Ford Endeavour, and Mahendra XUV, I can say without any doubt that, this car ... (more)

Comfort: after test driving the Toyota Fortuner, Renault Koleos, Audi Q7, Ford Endeavour, and Mahendra XUV, I can say without any doubt that, this car is the most comfortable among the all 5. On the city roads, the car was exceptional, absorbing every bump in its way and the plush leather seats make the car feel like your cruising on an air-bed. Pickup: the pickup is just perfect, it effortlessly goes up a hill or steep ramps. It can do 0-100 kmph in just 9.6 seconds. Mileage: for mine, it did 12km/l which is more efficient than any other SUVs right now. Best features: The 2.0-liter engine gives you just enough torque and power when driving in the city and on the highway. Its leather seats are also quite comfortable. Since it is a 7 seater, it is also quite ideal for family road trips. Also, I equipped mine with an additional rear end camera and sensors, I also equipped the car with a side-step as it was pretty high. Needs to improve: I've noticed that the suspension was too stiff and would shake a lot at high speeds (130kmph) and the back seats were quite crammed too but it's still better than the rear seats on the Audi Q7. There was no sunroof on mine. No ESP nor cruise control. Seats could've been plusher. Overall experience: all the improvements are just compromising for me, I still think it's a great car and a great value for money, and with a deeming exceptional price like 25 lakhs, I can say without doubt that this is the best SUV, but off-road is a different case as I have never tested it off-road."
Look and style is good but seating is not comfortable and main issue is with clutch for which you will get BACK PAIN and steering is also hard and your shoulders pain. The mats given by the dealers stinks and overall repent for buying this SUV. Mileage is good and for tis price they don't give reverse sensors for which I have paid Rs;6000. Clutch issue is main for which you will get pain on your foot and pressure on your hip, this I experienced while my driver is off the sales people are insisting only on the manual and I have my thoughts that they may phase out manual version soon.

2014 Chevrolet Captiva Sport - Small SUV with all the bells and whistles.
I was looking for a small SUV, we had a compact car, and we are a family of four, so we needed more space, without astronomically increasing our gas budget. The Captiva is cute and very aerodynamically shaped, the rear seats fold, and the back door is a hatch which provides ample space for transporting small to medium sized items with ease. The Captiva averages about 25mpg, which is a solid number in a car of this class. The trim package is what excited me the most, it came with Chevrolet OnStar services, as well as Sirius XM radio. The seats were all leather, for easy cleaning with children. The SUV has a power moon roof, which was a huge selling point for me. Throughout the life of the vehicle we have had a few mechanical issues, that were resolved quickly once the problem was identi... (more)

Throughout the life of the vehicle we have had a few mechanical issues, that were resolved quickly once the problem was identified. Overall I would suggest this vehicle to anyone looking for a small/mid size SUV for a small family.
We went camping on a whim as a family and were able to lie down the rear seat and use the back cargo area as a tent, it was delightful opening the moon roof at night and looking up at the stars from inside the vehicle.

The vehicle came equipped with a power moon roof. The Captiva has a good fuel economy at 25 mpg. The Captiva is spacious on the inside, allowing for the rear seats to fold down to offer cargo room for towing small to medium sized objects. The trim package that I selected offered a solid one color paint job, some of the lesser trim packages of this vehicle have plastic gray molded looking bumpers and baseboards, that in my opinion look tacky. The vehicle also came equipped with OnStar, which is Chevrolet's construct for roadside assistance and emergency help, although I have never used this, it's nice knowing that it is there in case I need it. The vehicle sits off of the ground at an appropriate level that makes it fairly easy for my young children to climb in and out of the cab.
The vehicle only has two rows of seating, and would not accommodate large families or groups. After purchasing the vehicle used, there were a few recalls that I had to have fixed, which were done at no cost to me at the dealership. The vehicle had a critical issue after purchase, where the original battery cables that ran underneath the engine block were unfit and it caused a power shortage in the vehicle, there were several occasions where I found myself calling for towing services because the car wouldn't start, and all power, including the automatic locks, was disabled due to the lack o... The radio lacks a screen, which is something I had grown accustomed to in my previous vehicle which was a model year older, I assumed this vehicle would also have a screen standard, especially in the higher level trim package, but it did not.
2013 Chevrolet Captiva Sport - Not dependable
Dislike gas mileage, burns oil quickly, little power when gas it. It has always made a noise when air conditioner running and when idling it seems like it always gasps for air like it might cut off and it has. This car was a good deal at the time I purchased it, but I will do a lot more research next time and not just buy one because of mileage or the way it looks. It has lasted awhile but just barely. Feels like it could break down at any time. Have to treat it extremely careful and be ginger with it. It is a four cylinder and has no real power to it. It is more for a mother of young children and mine are almost grown now. I do not think I will purchase another Chevrolet car again. I would possibly be interested in buying a truck or a more rugged vehicle that I can haul stuff in, in t... (more)

It is more for a mother of young children and mine are almost grown now. I do not think I will purchase another Chevrolet car again. I would possibly be interested in buying a truck or a more rugged vehicle that I can haul stuff in, in the future. It has close to 140,000 miles on it now and when I bought it, it had 35,000. I was told that model was never released to the public for sale. It was strictly a fleet car for car rental companies. I did and do not like the small leg room. I do not like the fact that it is hard to get to engine parts without taking it to a mechanic, and the oil is even almost impossible to change on your own. It is not a user-friendly car for a personal owner who has to maintain it and keep it going daily. I hope this answered all your questions.
I think it would be that an old boyfriend and I would park in his driveway, open the sunroof and lean our seats back and look at the stars and sing to our favorite CD.
