I do like the drivers seat adjustment options. The direction and pitch of the seat helped in a variety of situations, e.g.. long drives where I need to stay awake, shorter drivers etc. The visibility around the vehicle was adequate, I never had a problem with spacing my vehicle. The interior quality was standard. Nothing to write home about. During the summer the seats wouldn't deal well with moisture, often being damp during the summer months. The stereo was old, like a car from 1991 rather than 2001. The sound was terrible. The speakers would rattle in their housing. The seating was really good, I felt as comfortable in the back seat as I did in the front. I was able to fit 5 comfortably. The trunk space was also good, going camping I was able to fit full size shovels and other gear ... (more)

I would say my most fun and memorable experience with this vehicle was bringing a handful of friends up to the mountains to enjoy the natural setting.

The head lamps were canted well and I had no problem with visibility. The four wheel drive worked well, when It worked. Off roading was suitable, the balance of the truck maintained itself when driving across an incline and on trails. The heater was awesome. It was fast and blew hard and hot. The shifter was very smooth and I had no problem rocking myself out during muddy encounters. The drivers seat went back far enough to sleep comfortable. The height of the truck was lower to the ground which made it easy to get in and out for my passengers. And riding in the truck felt more like a ca... (more)

The cooling system was a constant hassle. I had to repair the hoses, having the cooling system flushed and eventually had to have the whole thing rebuilt. Tire pressure was a constant concern. I don't know why but one or more of my tires were always "splashy." If I had too much air pressure in one of the tires the truck's handling became springy and pitched the body over rather sharply. The roof rack was minimal at best. It was made of plastic and was only supposed to hold, If I remember correctly, 200lbs; which is okay for luggage but any sort of couch or furniture that might catch the wi... (more)

There were many aspects about this car that I liked. For a smaller SUV, it offered plenty of space in both the front and back seats. The trunk allowed for plenty of towing/toting space for anything from groceries to handling hefty residential moves. The body of the vehicle was also very sturdy, making it able to withstand minor bumps as well as major accidents with minimal cosmetic damage. The interior was easy to clean and was made out of sturdy materials, that when taken care of, wound up lasting through three owners and over twenty years (with well over 200,000 miles on the vehicle). There wasn't anything that has been an immediate dislike for the vehicle itself. It ran well for me and lasted a long time, even though I had purchased it with 150,000 miles on it.

When I was living in Tennessee, my boyfriend (now husband) and I went to explore some hiking trails around the Chattanooga area for a weekend. With the option to lay down the rear seat, we were able to set up a hefty 'home-base' in the back of the Blazer--which was useful because it wound up raining the majority of the trip. There was enough space for a bedding area, bags, clothes, food, and e... (more)

My top positive things about this vehicle were about its build and inner layout. I liked that it had a CD player, well-working air conditioning, and having 4WD was a plus. I appreciated that it wasn't decked out in unnecessary features. I was well satisfied with what it offered, such as the CD player, thermostat, dashboard storage space, and 4WD.

Though not necessarily a con, this SUV obviously wasn't built to keep up with sports cars on the interstate. It handled the higher speeds (70-85 MPH) well for me. At these speeds it didn't offer much road silence, but that was to be expected in an SUV hitting those speeds.

I've owned this SUV now for 5 years. It has over 212,000 miles and is still going strong. The interior does rattle a bit and feels a little cheap and plastic, but everything still works. It has been well worth every penny I paid for this vehicle. In fact, I've taken it across the country four times since I bought it and it was reliable every time. Now that the mileage is so high, the transmission is just starting to slip up the tiniest bit. But it still passed inspection again so it is good for another two years. I plan on buying another car soon, but I will still drive this one daily 'til I literally drive the wheels off it. The back end is rusting a bit, but that is to be expected in the northeast where I live. All cars rust up here with the salt and sand in winter. I love ... (more)

Putting all three of my dogs in it, and me and my boyfriend going to spend the day at the park.

Size, dependability, and versatility.

Getting old, no longer manufactured, beginning to rust a bit.
