It's getting tired
My Chevy Venture was purchased used, and has been OK at best. The van is reasonable sized, with plenty of room and seating for seven. It looks pretty good for a minivan, and actually drives well. However, it just has been beset with problems, which has made it disappointing.

Great van for a busy single mom
The 2003 Chevrolet Venture provides optimal space for all the needs of a mom on the go. Even after installing a car seat (either rear or forward facing), there is plenty of room in the back to get around the seats and allow for other passengers or items. The traction control feature also allows for peace of mind on icy roads in the winter. The automatic sliding doors are a nice feature, however the claimed safety mechanism on them to avoid pinched fingers/hands does not work as well as claimed (as my toddler son learned the hard way).

Some issues, but incredibly reliable
I've owned the Chevrolet Venture for a while and I have to say it is known for having transmission and electrical issues. I have not experienced any transmission issues but things like the windows going out, waking up to a dead battery, headlights and brake lights going out, occur a few times every year. The mechanical performance of the vehicle is superb, as I've never had any serious mechanical work done and my vehicle has 230k miles.
