I really love my Hyundai Elantra LX. It has been an exceptionally reliable and sturdy vehicle. I have driven it literally across the entire United States and never once have I had an issue. I even drove my 3 cats for 27 hours in it, and it was a smooth enough ride to where they did not panic or seem fearful. It has served me well for years. The performance is ideal for me, as it has an ECO mode that takes less gas to run and is still smooth and responsive. There's enough space in the trunk, far more than it initially looks like it would have, to move all of my personal belongings easily. It is a wonderful, practical, yet aesthetically pleasing vehicle.
Story
Driving into the area that I now live, there's this magnificent lake with a windy, beautiful, tree lined road running alongside it. Driving on that road and getting to look at all the beauty around while enjoying the feel of an easy to handle but windy road was really fun. My partner enjoyed riding through there, taking photos as I drove past the lake, and discussing returning to the area duri... (more)
Pros
The positives of my Hyundai Elantra LX are numerous. Whenever a part needs replacing, they are affordable and easy to replace myself. The seat warmers are invaluable in the winter, and the air conditioning system is fast and effective. The back up camera has made me far more comfortable with driving backwards, and makes parallel parking a breeze. The gas mileage is good, and the gas tank is large enough to where I really don't need to refill all that frequently. The interior is far larger than it initially appears, making it easy to transport and store my belongings as needed. The ride is ... (more)
Cons
As spectacular as my Hyundai Elantra LX is, there are some detriments. Sometimes, if the weather is below 40 degrees, it will hesitate to start. The key is the type that just has to be inside the cabin of the car and has a push button start, and when it's cold the car just won't start up sometimes, and on occasion the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob won't respond. I have to hold the key fob and warm it up before it will function in cold weather. The tire pressure sensors in my particular car don't function as intended, and indicate an issue any time the temperature is below 65, even... (more)

I like this vehicle because it seems well-built and runs well. The interior doesn't feel cheap. It's an attractive, sporty car and it looks great on the road. It runs quietly and doesn't create a lot of pollution. Overall, this has been a great little care to run around town in.
Story
I drove the car to New York City and back! The gas mileage was great, and we stayed nice and cool in the AC.
Pros
My favorite feature of the vehicle is the sport mode. Although the transmission is automatic, it has a manual sport mode that allows you to shift gears. Although it's not great for the gas mileage, it's really fun. The interior is very comfortable, and the back seat is plenty roomy. I don't feel squished when I drive a couple other people around. The built-in Bluetooth is great for listening to music and taking calls while I'm driving. The stereo has a great setup, and the speakers are good quality.
Cons
Sometimes the starter is a little unreliable. I've even had it replaced, and it still acts up sometimes. I've heard from other Hyundai owners that this problem isn't uncommon, but it usually works after a couple tries if it doesn't start right away. There is no thermostat or compass. I wish there was because it would make it a lot easier to know where I'm going and what the temperature is outside.
