This is hands down one of the best vehicles I have owned for cruising around on the weekend and the occasional track day. The open top makes a spring or fall day that much better and the wife loves it as well. The Bose stereo is great, the engine sounds just as amazing, and omg the handling! Miata's are the best handling cars for the money! Trunk space is a bit limited, and there isn't a spare tire, but run-flats can fix that issue. Although it only makes 170hp, the low weight of the car makes this a fun, flickable car that can be talked about in smiles per gallon.
Story
I have won a few regional autocrosses with this car in stock form, primarily due to it's great handling characteristics.
Pros
Great build quality, lightweight, the roof does not leak when up, the stereo is great, peppy engine, great looks (it's a head turner), ergonomics are fantastic, maintenance is very low cost, easily modifiable for more performance through companies like Flying Miata or Moss Miata.
Cons
The cabin can be noisy when the top is up, no spare tire, trunk space is very limited, the wind noise can be a bit harsh above 80 mph with the top down, the transmission can be a little sticky and difficult to change gears when the weather is cold outside.

2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata - Great fun sporty car.

I really like my 2006 Mazda MX5. It is a very fun and sporty car to drive around. It is also very good on gas. It has plenty of power, but still handles very well. Driving with the top down is so much fun, and it is very easy to put the top down. There are a few downsides to this car however. Most notably the storage space and the passenger space. I would still recommend this car to anyone.
Story
Driving down the Lake Michigan coast line with the top down is my fondest memory of this car.
Pros
The best thing about the 2006 Mazda Miata is the performance. It has a lot of power, and handles great. Driving it on back roads is very fun. It is also pretty good on gas (~30mpg hwy). The ride comfort is pretty nice as well.
Cons
The worst thing about the 2006 Mazda Miata is the lack of space. Headroom, trunk space, foot space, is all comprised for performance. It also does not come with a spare tire.
