The most fun gas sipper you can buy.
I purchased this car in 2016 on a whim to replace my older model of the same car. I was incredibly impressed with the new styling of the latest generation of the Miata, and decided to purchase it. In addition to the appearance, I was very pleased with the handling, the acceleration, and the overall feel of the car. It's a very responsive car that does exactly what you tell it to do. After owning the car a couple of years, I think the thing that has impressed me the most has been the gas mileage though. The car was rated to get just over 30 miles per gallon combined. I meticulously keep gas receipts and track my gas fill ups. After reviewing all of my real world driving, analyzing my gas receipts and looking at ~20,000 miles of driving, I am averaging about 42 miles per gallon in this little convertible (20,500 miles and 491 gallons of fuel). I believe having a manual transmission and being very conscious of how I drive has allowed me to achieve this type of mileage from the car. In the two years that I have owned the car, I have only had to do regular maintenance which speaks well for its future reliability. No major issues have been encountered and I have not had any unexpected repairs. The car has been an amazing little gas mileage champ, and a wonderful commuter car whose top goes down and is a blast to drive. The only way that I wouldn't recommend this car is if you needed space and you could only have one car. There is no back seat, and the trunk is truly pathetic.

So much fun and so much power
The Miata won the hearts of many when it came over here from Japan. It quickly became a fun little car to drive-- and modify. You can't go to a racetrack without seeing a Miata. You can't take a country drive without wishing it was in a Miata. The answer is always Miata. This car handles like a dream and drives beautifully. Miata lost their way for a while after 2005, but we don't like to talk about that. She found her way again in the new generation of the Miata. Mr. Masa katsu Kato is surely proud. The Miata was always the affordable option for the person who wants a sexy car that drives like a dream. It still is with the 2016 mx-5 Miata. I love the quality of my leather seats. I love the infotainment system in the dash that now comes in all new Mazda vehicles. Getting the top down is much easier in the newer model than my old 2005 Mazda speed. Everything on it is an upgrade in the best way while also being incredibly affordable.
