A great sunny weekend driving car. Just to be able to get out and just drive and enjoy oneself is what this car is all about. It has pep and the lines are just right -- looks like an "exotic" car without the price tag of one. Some people might not like the sound of it when it's accelerating, because it sounds like a toy car instead of like it has power, but don't let that fool you, it can move. The controls are easily placed, so you don't have to move around or look for them. They are just in the right place for instinct to find them. The car is a head turner -- it's definitely not your older version of the Miata!
Story
We took our Miata out on a Sunday afternoon drive in the Shenandoah Skyline area during the turn of the leaves -- put the top down and just enjoyed the world around us -- beautiful and breathtaking!!!
Pros
It's fun! Though the top isn't electric, it is very easily put up or down with one hand and no effort at all -- one click and it's down. The push start is very smart -- your keys never have to leave your pocket, and you can't forget to turn off your car when you walk away, because if the key is on your person, the car will start to alert you that you have left the car on. For such a small car, it has a lot of storage in the car and you don't lose your truck -- it's huge (you could put a body in there if you wanted to)! The navigation scene on the dash is quite large, and everything is ... (more)
Cons
There is a major pet peeve I have about one of the cup holders in the car. There are two cup holders -- one in the passengers leg area which is mainly to be used by the driver and then another in the back of the console area. It's the back one that is really difficult to get to -- if you are the driver, forget it (it's just not feasible). The passenger can get to it just awkwardly. I know it's a minor thing, but when you are on a long summer Sunday drive, it is an issue. The rearview mirror is tiny (though understandable because the car is very tiny itself), but it does make the driver ... (more)
