I absolutely love this car. The Altima has a nice, sleek build and is smooth running. It's a great looking car that comes with little to no problems. The car is spacious and affordable. It's a great car for a small family. I would purchase again and again. My son has a large extended rear facing car seat and there is plenty of room for the person sitting in front of his car seat. The trunk is very large and spacious, which makes grocery shopping much easier. All in all, this car is a great family starter car and is good quality for a low price.
Story
The most memorable story I have with this vehicle is the day with brought our son home from the hospital. It is such a great family car and I felt so safe with my son in the back seat.
Pros
This car gets great gas mileage, I only have to fill up about once a week. The car is incredibly appealing to the eye, drives super smooth, can pass other cars with ease, and the cruise control option is right there on the steering wheel so you never have to look away from the road. I love the fact that the gas tank has to be "popped" open, similar to the trunk - it would be really difficult for anyone to siphon my gas or put anything that doesn't belong in my gas tank in it.
Cons
There are only a few things that I have to complain about with this car. First of all, the door handles seem to be broken off very easily - both my driver side door and the passenger door behind it have had the door handles broken off in the winter when the door was frozen shut. The headlights need to be replaced once every six months, and the doors are so light that they fly open and hit the car I park next to if I am not extremely careful to not let go of the door union exiting the car.

2004 Nissan Altima - Excellent car/everyday driver and for traveling.

The Nissan Altima 3.5L, 2004 model is a great car overall. One of the greatest features is how the car handles on the road, on the highway and back roads. When needed it hugs the road, quite well and feels like a race car. I particularly like the auto climate control for the most part, however, I can't make the temp go below 60 degrees. Right now the car has 159,569 miles on it and other than regular maintenance this car has been holding up well, with two exceptions that I will explain in the cons section. Blind spots are minimal, the electric/heated seats are great to have, however, wish the back seats were also heated, so that the children can have a quick warm seat in the winter. The leather is excellent condition. We have taken this car on short and long trips and are very pleased ... (more)
Story
When an emergency arose, I was able to get from point A to point B in a smooth quick time, with the road handling being great.
Pros
Top positive things, #1 road handling, for most part the quality is good with the exception of a few things. Seats are great, with the electric is better since I am a small person. Favorite features: This is tough to pick just one, I like the rear view mirror automatic adjustment, the auto climate control, leather, and handling on the road.
Cons
The drain from roof down through car, is fouled and had to replace the floor under front passenger seat. The other negative that I really don't like is when the car is at idle, it doesn't blow heat so if I am at a train track crossing it can get quite cold in the car.
