2012 Nissan Altima OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

I liked this car very much. It was very attractive and the color was different - it was black, but in the sun a deep dark maroon. It was so much fun to drive because we got a lot of compliments on it. Surprisingly, for being a sports car, it was really comfortable in long drives. We drove this little car to South Carolina for a Navy Reunion, then down to St. Pete Beach to visit one of our sons. We then drove down to Naples to visit a friend. There was one problem and that was because I fell one night on vacation - I did not go to the doctor, but learned later that I had two fractured ribs. At our friend's home, we took her out for dinner. We drove and let our friend sit in the front seat because she has back problems. I sat in the back and it was so painful because of the fractured ribs that I did not know at the time I had. Other than that issue, the car was a good one. We never had to replace anything on this car. It drove really well for this little car. We got great gas mileage, which was a huge plus because we drove this car on several trips. Another good thing about this car is that it was so easy to park in small places. Being a sports car another negative about this car was the fact that our automobile insurance premium went up quite a bit. We didn't keep the car really long because after my broken ribs, I talked my husband into getting a 4-door luxury car.

Would Buy Another One!!!
I absolutely fell in love with this car. It was not only my first 'big girl' purchase, but it had all of the things that I needed. I'm one to lock myself out and with the keyless/push to start feature I have yet to find a way to lock myself out. Cons in my opinion are the fact that the dash will read low tire pressure, but not tell you what tire! I would definitely like to see more details on the the dash about a problem or warning sign. Instead I have to pull over and see what the matter is. Other than that I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a good car at a good price. Plus you cannot bet great customer service. I was always under the impression that one should never bring their vehicle to the dealership, but mine gives my car grades and I usually sneak out of there with minor issues like replacing the windshield wipers.

Low maintenance, comfortable, smooth ride as a family car.
This car has been the most dependable, low maintenance car we have ever owned. We bought the extended bumper-to-bumper warranty on it and have yet to use it. I feel very safe driving my daughter around it, with good visibility windows. I love the keyless feature. I love the space in it, especially the trunk space. I am a mobile photographer, and I can pack up all my lighting, backdrops, and stand all in the trunk. I like the continuously variable transmission. It makes it a smoother, quieter ride. The only time I do not like the continuous transmission is in winter when the traction is bad. The car still thinks it can go even on ice when it can't. I do notice it does not drive the best in snowy conditions here in Wisconsin. But I also need to put better tires on the car. The back window also won't automatically go up from the drivers auto switches. I have to reach my arm back to the back seat door switch when my child forgets to put it back up. Overall, this car has made me want to stick to Nissan for such great quality cars. We are going on our third year of owning it, and the issues we have had are very minor.
