The 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5S is a very comfortable car, peppy acceleration and very dependable build. It is a great family car as it can be had in the 4 dr model or 2 dr coupe. The styling and comfort are very spot on for 2006. The factory radio has a very nice sound and loud enough to over come road noise. Acceleration is excellent for a 4 cylinder engine. Top speed also is very good for this size of motor. The gas mileage obtained is averaged around 25 mpg. The trunk is roomy and interior is plush. Head and tail lights are very aggressive in styling and give the vehicle a very modernized look. Handling is spot on. Winter driving is also very dependable, as this car is great in the snow.
Story
Everyday driving this vehicle is fun......
Pros
Great acceleration, great factory radio, great gas mpg, aggressive styling. Handling is very responsive and is very spot on for a 4 dr family sedan. Firm seating, comfortable, adequate leg room. Very minimal blind spots, easy to drive at highway speeds.
Cons
Vehicle exterior paint is fading bad, Acceleration can be a bit punchy at times. It takes a little to get used to it. There was a major engine recall but it was taken care of when I bought the vehicle. The vehicle is very low in ride height and does not take speed bumps very well.

While the car may not be new, it is esthetically pleasing to look at, and it just so happens to be in my favorite color, blue! I've had it for a while and at first I really, really enjoyed driving it day to day. However, it did not come without its list of headaches. While I used to take it to far places, I can't do so anymore. I've had problems with it starting and sometimes stopping while I'm driving. It's a very scary feeling. It even struggles to go up steep hills due to its CVT transmission. It has drained my bank account more than enough times, and I just can't sincerely recommend it.
Story
On prom night, my date and two other friends used as our ride. A group of other students were on a bus and headed in the same direction we were to go out to eat, but they never made because they got a flat tire. We definitely lucked out and saved money not going on the bus. While I can't say the prom itself was much fun, the after party sure was.
Pros
It is very, very comfortable. Everyone always comments on that fact. It gets great gas mileage. Stereo sound quality is great. Great for loading up as it has a lot of trunk space. Speaking of space, the inside is quite roomy for its size.
Cons
It comes with a CVT transmission that while great for gas mileage, it does not help it accelerate quickly and struggles going up big hills. When something breaks, it is going to take a long time to get your parts as most shops don't carry much foreign parts, and it is going to put a dent in your wallet. I've had trouble with it's sensors time and time again, which essentially leaves me a dead car.
