Great vehicle for both young & old!
I love that the Chevy HHR is unique. Most cars on the road these days all look alike. It is very versatile. I can haul a load from Lowe's in the back. I can take my dog to the park by riding in the back. I can fit a lot of groceries in the back. But, the thing I love the most is that as I age, I do not have to pull myself up into a tall vehicle nor out from a seat that feels like it is sitting on the ground. It was perfect for getting in and out of when I had surgery... No stress on my stitches from climbing in or out of a car. For both tall & short people this is THE car to have. Loads of headroom! I like the armrests... My last car didn't have any and I really missed them! What I dislike about the car is that this was a lower end model, so there are few luxuries... No OnStar, no Bluetooth. The seats are ok but definitely not classified as comfy. The gas mileage is ok but nothing to brag about. We just hit 80000 miles and there have been a few recalls. But, overall this car has performed well with mainly just routine maintenance. I wish they did not quit making this car. I would probably buy another again... With a few more bells and whistles.

Very reliable vehicle.
The car has been very good so far. I have about 45,000 miles on it. I keep the maintenance up on the car and change the oil every 3,000 miles. It is a smooth ride and would recommend it to anyone. There are no rattles and very few scratches noted on the vehicle. The inside and outside still look very new.

Roomy inside, Many Blind spots
We bought this vehicle to be a family car. It has a lot of room on the inside and can fit two car seats in the back. The seats easily fold down in the back and have allowed us to transport a lot of things during multiple moves for ourselves and friends. The spare tire storage is great and the small space in between the spare tire and the top of the trunk is great for storing an emergency car kit and water. The excellent gas mileage is a big part of why we originally purchased the vehicle and it has lived up to its names. The car has been reliable and given us great mileage through multiple, multi state road trips. Our least favorite parts of the vehicle are the large amounts of blind spots. We did not realize until we had the vehicle for the week that a tall driver can not see the top of a traffic light, due to the small front windshield. The side mirrors are very useful, but with such small windows everywhere else it can be difficult to navigate traffic at times. The vehicle has not held its value well, and we are unable to refinance our loan, since we are under water on the loan. After just a year of owning the vehicle we were in trouble with owing more than our car is worth. We plan to own the car for a fair amount of time, but it is hard to love a car that is so expensive and can be difficult to see out of.
