Smooth and a nice introduction to electric cars.
I have never been a Chevrolet fan, but my wife really wanted a 2016 Chevrolet Volt for her next car, so we got it for her. I have to say though, that after a few times driving it, I was completely sold on the fact that Chevrolet is definitely stepping up their game. The car is compact yet elegant, which is ideal for my wife who wanted a nice looking car but is anxious about driving big ones. I also liked the interior a lot, since it has smooth soft surfaces on the panel and doors, unlike my Hyundai Elantra which is filled with hard plastic. This is also a smooth transition for someone who wants to get into the electric cars world but is still wary. The Volt's gas-electric hybrid system allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds. There was one aspect of the car which I disliked though. The seats are quite uncomfortable compared to other models, which bothers me specially during longer trips. All in all, this is a great car, and I do not regret purchasing it.

I now have over 2,000 miles on my 2016 Volt in just about six weeks and averaging 61 miles per charge: best so far 78 (!!!). This was during the summertime in CA: running the A/C. Does best in town. Setting the cruise at 65 will drain the battery quicker. Solid, fun car to drive with great throttle response, quiet, comfortable and the only gas I've burned has been on a four-hr. drive to Tahoe. In fact, it's been nearly 500 miles since I used a drop of gas. My solar panels produce power during the peak hours, and I get credited 34 cents/kilowatt, then charge at night for 14 cents/kilowatt. I like driving for free.
