I chose this vehicle because it seated 7 and fit in my price range. It also came with a tow package that I needed for a small trailer. I love the color too, so that was a bonus. It had 91,000 miles on it already when I bought it but I've not had any major issues with it. It's at 112,000 mile now. Still going strong. I've only had to do routine and minor maintenance on it. The interior could be a bit roomier. Rear facing car seats don't fit great and it is difficult to fit a car seat in the middle. Also, having car seats in it makes it nearly impossible to access the back row. I actually need to use all the seats so its a bit of a hassle.
Story
We took it camping. There were a lot of storms so we had to drive on some muddy roads. It got around great. The back is big enough to fit a queen sized air mattress.
Pros
It's been reliable. I like the tow package and the paint color. The roof rack has been useful. I love that it has lots of plugs for charging multiple items at once. That is a huge plus when you have a lot of children with electronics.
Cons
The interior is small. Car seats don't fit well. It is difficult to access third row seating if you have more than one car seat installed in the middle. They have to go through the back and there is no way to open the back hatch from the inside.

My ford Aerostar was great when it was brand new, it is great on gas. It has a lot of seating and very comfortable to seat 7 people. I have 3 children and its nice to be able to spread them out. My Aerostar at several years started to break down a lot, my husband had to replace the starter, brakes, muffler, ball joints and the transmission. It started to get very costly to repair. It seemed every week something would break on it. I was getting so tired of not having the car when we needed it, especially when you have 3 children who need rides all the time to get to school or myself to get to work. The car was a hunter green color with gray cushioned seats. It had plenty of leg room and it was great for loading bundles in, you can put the seats down and had plenty of room to put big box... (more)
Story
We would load the car up to go camping every summer, it was great you could put a lot of stuff on the roof and in the back of it. It was great fun the kids. We had a video player in back of the seats so they could watch movies while we drove to our campground.
Pros
It has a lot of room for seven people to sit comfortable. It had seats that folded down or could be removed to put big boxes in. It has roof racks that you could tie packages to it. It was high up off the ground so felt like you were driving in a truck. It was great on gas because it was a 4 cylinder so it was economical.
Cons
It was breaking down a lot and always at times when it was needed the most. We had a lot of repairs to do and it began to get very costly to fix every week. The body was rusting out too. It was not a very reliable car as it got older.

This car is comfortable to drive, and I have driven some serious miles on it. I have put over 250,000 miles on this car and it has held up fairly well over the years. When do need to make a repair, they have been fairly easy and not too expensive. I like the size of the interior, and it's been a decent all around vehicle. It seems like no matter what I put this car though, it's still going to start. I don't like the look of the car though. It's very boxy and the engine is small so it doesn't accelerate well. And (in spite of the name) it gets rocky to drive if it's windy.
Story
I call this car my zen mobile because anyone pulling up behind me is going to have a zen moment. It just makes me laugh when I see the reactions of other drivers, but I usually get the lane to myself and that's just fine with me.
Pros
It's a comfortable car to drive, it holds up well to abuse and it's relatively inexpensive to repair when something does need to be fixed.
Cons
It has a small engine that accelerates slowly, and it's not the most attractive vehicle I've owned. It also is harder to handle when it's windy.
