Overall, I would rate this car a 6/10. I actually purchased this vehicle used in 2010, but it had barely been used (only 23,000 miles). I currently have about 97,000 miles on it. I feel that it can last for much longer, but I have definitely had to repair some things. I know I have under 100,000 miles, but my car is almost 14 years old. I don't know what it cost new, but I paid $4,200 for it and it has been WELL worth the money for the price. I really like how sporty the Ford Focus ZX2 looks. I believe it's actually the last Focus that Ford produced. I never really think of myself driving in the vehicle, but when I pass another one on the road I think about how cute and feminine the car looks compared to other cars in it's class. I like the tiny spoiler in the back - it seems to add t... (more)
Story
This car has made many trips back and forth between North Carolina and South Carolina. I had been in a long-distance relationship (4 hours apart) for about 4 years, and spent many hours in my car on the interstate. I felt like I practically lived out of my car sometimes. I always had a suitcase packed in the back seat along with a blanket, pillow, etc.
Pros
This car can survive some crashes, that's for sure. I bought the car after it was practically totaled at a car shop. They repaired it... looked brand new. Several years later, I was T-boned pretty hard in a parking lot. Lots of damages to the front and side of the car. My wheel axle was also broken in two. I thought for sure that my car would have been considered totaled, but the dealership fixed it up brand new again. I feel like newer cars on the lots these days are considered total after minor wrecks often. I feel like my car can survive anything. I don't know the exact miles per gallon... (more)
Cons
Within two years of purchase, I had to change both wheel bearings (on separate occasions). I don't know much about wheel bearings, but the shop I took it too pretty much told me they were a pain to change in a Ford Focus because the entire engine had to be moved out of the way to access them. Thus, I was charged more for labor. I do not feel that I necessarily do anything while driving to wear down the wheel bearings, but I had to change an additional one around 2016. I don't know if this is a flaw in the car itself, because I have never had this problem with any other vehicle. I also had ... (more)

This car is a great car! I bought it used at 60,000 miles. I originally bought it for my commute to and from work, which is 200 miles total there and back. I would say that it has definitely paid for itself just because of its performance driving that long drive, five days a week. We have also taken this car on six trips. All six trips it has gone back and fourth from Virginia to Ohio. We have never had a problem any time on those trips. This car may be little but the performance that it puts out tells a complete different story.
Story
Something fun we do every year in this car is during the month of December on the weekends we love to drive around the neighborhoods to look at the Christmas lights.
Pros
The pros of this car is that It is small and compact. It is a great car if you have a small garage with little room. It has great gas mileage, which is actually one of my favorite things about the car. Another great thing is that you will be surprised how much trunk room this little car has. The seats in the back allow you to pull a tab to lay them down for even more trunk room. The seats are also very comfortable.
Cons
There aren't many cons about this car. The biggest is that it's a two-door car. It would be okay for a couple, or a single person, but as for a family, it's just not a great option because it is hard to get children in and out where they are backward facing.
