I really have enjoyed my Ford Explorer. I enjoy sitting high up when I drive and looking down on the other vehicles. I enjoy the leg room this larger car provides me. I also like the fact that the seats fold down, so I can haul almost as much as a truck in my Explorer. Even with the seats up, I can still fit a great deal in the back of the SUV. There is plenty of room for the passengers in my car. It is always a smooth ride and almost no terrain that I come across in daily life, is too rugged for my Explorer. I like the body style. It has a modern and bubbly design that is pleasing. The paint has a nice gloss and sheen as well. It is very comfortable for me when I am driving long distances. I never get cramped because I can easily move around if I need to. The seat design is also very ... (more)
Story
This is always a fun car to take to the beach. I am able to drive my family of four, as well as our swim floats, chairs, coolers, fishing poles. This is the perfect car to haul family and equipment with.
Pros
The pros are as follows: spacious, safe, durable, attractive, parts are inexpensive, good for a large family
Cons
The only con I can readily think of would be that, being a larger SUV, it is not very good on gas mileage.

I like the overall size of my vehicle. I like the powerful V6 engine. I love that my car is high up so that I can see the road clearly. The leather interior makes it really comfortable to sit in. The power steering really helps when I'm turning the wheel. My wheels are some special Michelin tires that are good for the winter. Also, I have the option of using 4 wheel drive when necessary. For example, during snow storms. The AC is very strong in the summer and the heater is strong in the winter time. It is a 1998 Model so there is rust forming in various places. Also, it is a gas guzzler. Meaning it uses too much gas when I am commuting to work or for other errand and needs.
Pros
Favorite features of my car, Leather interior. It has a strong AC and Heat Unit. Powerful V6 Engine. Power steering. Able to put a lot of items in my trunk. Bose speaker quality is very good.
Cons
It uses too much gas when I'm driving around to my usual areas. Such as work, home and places I frequent in my free time for leisure. It is expensive to fill up the gas tank. Due to its age, there is rust forming in various spots on the car. Also the rear windshield wipers do not work. At times there is a whistling sound while I am driving and I have not been able to figure it out.

A Ford Explorer is an aesthetically pleasing car. But it is by no means the best car out there. It comes with its bumps and bruises as does any car. My car was a pre-owned so I assumed it was going to come with its set of problems. But this is ridiculous, my cars transmission is practically destroyed. And if engine problems weren't enough the car does not handle well at all in adverse weather. The car is too low to the ground to go out mudding with everyone else and barely drives well on the road. The handling is awful and there was a multitude of times I almost crashed due to the weather. Snow? Forget about it. You're more likely to end up in a ditch off the highway then to reach your destination. This is my second Ford Explorer (I previously owned a 93) and I must say I'm terribly di... (more)
Story
The best part of having my Explorer was being able to stop and pick up all types of furniture and such from the side of the road. I've so many good memories of me and my friends playing tetris in my trunk with a bunch of couches and tables.
Pros
As I mentioned before this car looks nice. It's very sleek on the outside. And the inside is a lot roomier than you'd think. It made it easy to tow around everything from my friends to tables and couches.
Cons
Engine is horrible and needs constant upkeep/maintenance. Too Low to the ground. It disappoints me that this truck is so big but I can't take it off roading. Non-Existent handling in bad weather.
