It's a decent vehicle. It's smaller than I wanted. I don't like the backseat. I don't like the back of it.

2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac - Its a great car, but the truck bed is small and it gets poor mpg.

The explorer sport track is part truck, part suv and all alright! I've encountered few problems with my ford, I live in Colorado and it has seen many brutal winters in the Rockies and still has done fantastic! In the snow, its best to pop it into 4 wheel drive, but it can still go most anywhere you need it to. It has a sunroof, which is pretty wicked, but mine is black, so it retains a lot of heat from it. The main thing that went wrong was the stock 6 disc changer, it didn't last long and managed to make off with a couple of my CD's, but it wasn't too expensive to replace and the speakers aren't bad at all. The thing I really don't like about it is the fuel economy, I'm guessing it gets about 18 mpg highway, but it might be less, it certainly isn't cheap to drive around.
Pros
The truck has 5 seats. The truck has a large enough be for many items and attachments can be purchased to expand the space. The truck came with a decent stock stereo. The truck has comfortable pleather seats. The truck has a sunroof and thermometer with led readout inside. The truck handles well in 4 wheel drive and 2. The truck has 4 wheel drive option. The truck has plenty of storage space including seat pockets that can contain about a gallon of items. The truck has 4 cup holders. The truck has heating and ac, both quite powerful! The truck has a rear window that can be rolled down all ... (more)
Cons
The first thing to go in the truck was the CD player, they had fit it stock with an in dash changer that was likely poorly designed, once replaced this is obviously not an issue, but perhaps by only using one slot, people could avoid this in the future. The brakes did need frequent replacing due to the trucks high center of gravity, also due to the high center of gravity, the truck was tippy and would be easy to flip. The spark plugs can only be replace with equipment usually found at dealerships, so you'd want to prepare for that being an extra cost. The electronics have become iffy over ... (more)
