2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac - Great build quality, it has 148,658 miles and no problems.
The utility of the vehicle is good and it is a comfortable vehicle. Quality wise, after almost 150,000 miles most things are still working. Some of the door trim and paint on the trim is peeling or has rubbed off. The seats are missing some of the foam now and aren't as comfortable as they once were. It gets a respectable 15mpg which for the size of truck and weight and engine is expected. Overall it is a great truck and can be purchased for a very reasonable price.
Story
Being able to have the sunroof open and riding around in the warm weather is very nice. Also having the rear power window is nice.
Pros
The best things about the vehicle would be the utility. You can still haul 5 people and also but something in the bed if you need to bring something large home. It also came with a bed cover that is very handy and nice to have if it is going to rain. Overall it is a great vehicle for going to different places, off-roading, and using in the snow in the winter.
Cons
Some interior pieces are falling apart, the lighting in the front is very odd. To replace the lights, they don't usually work properly. It could also be more efficient on fuel than it is. Some of the engine components are different on different models and are more complicated on some than they need to be. That causes more expensive maintenance and repair bills.
