I special ordered my Ford Fusion Hybrid in 2013 and I couldn't be happier. I have the Titanium level trim. In spite of being a hybrid, the drive is quite sporty and responsive. My previous car was a high performance sports car and out of all of the hybrids I test drove, the Fusion felt like less of a "step down" from a performance vehicle than the Malibu or Volt. My favorite feature is the heated leather seats as I live in a cold area.
Story
I'm not an aggressive driver by any means, but I really enjoy how many people try to pass me thinking that all hybrids are really slow when my car will just zip right off at a green light.
Pros
Battery has a lifetime guarantee. This helped me commit to a hybrid when I was worried about battery replacement after a few years. No problems yet! Gas mileage: 3+ years in and I'm getting 42 MPG consistently. The interior is nice, good quality and easy to clean. I have not had any issues with broken parts, discoloration or ripped/worn leather. Lots of room. I have taken several long trips with 5 adults and everyone has been very comfortable. I also have 2 large dogs who fit comfortably in the back seat for car rides.
Cons
Advertised fuel efficiency was 45 mpg, but there was a lawsuit about false advertising and Ford reimbursed me for the adjusted lifetime fuel efficiency. My trunk lid will not stay open on any sort of incline. You have to hold it up with one hand while you are putting things in and out of the trunk and it is really bothersome. I asked my Ford dealer if it could be fixed and they said no, it's just the way they are.
