2016 Ford Mustang - Great performance-to-value ratio, but subpar fit and finish.

I've been the owner of a new 2016 Ford Mustang GT since late February 2016. I initially fell in love with the car. I was impressed by the aluminum panels used in the interior as well as the hundreds of customizable lightning options you could choose from within the drivers display menu. I was also impressed by how large the trunk was. It definitely adds practicality on long road trips where several items need to be lugged around. There's hardly any space in the rear seats for passengers, however my 65 pound rottweiler fits perfectly with the front passenger seat in the most forward position. The exterior is really what attracted me. I saw its redesign in 2015 and knew I had to have it. The car currently has a little under 6k miles on it. It's my daily driver and and at this point I kno... (more)
Story
In the short amount of time I've owned the vehicle I'd say the reaction from younger audiences is always hilarious and memorable. I received a thumbs up from a little boy for a solid 10 minutes while on the way to work in traffic and that memory is still stuck with me every time I'm off to work.
Pros
I love the performance and overall styling of the car. At this price point you are getting an amazing value when it comes to performance. You'd be paying twice as much or more for the same performance from it's European competitors. The vehicle is white with a black painted roof and black painted rims which is exactly the combination I was going for. It gets tons of looks and thumbs up which is always a good thing for a car owner. I opted for the larger screen/more speaker plus subwoofer combination. The screen is akin to that of a modern phone with absolutely no input lag. This is a huge ... (more)
Cons
Panel alignment on the exterior is horrid and I wish the transmission was a bit smoother/quieter. It's a bit of shame really that on a vehicle of this caliber such things as panel misalignment are present. I'm not sure how this will affect the car as a whole in the future, but I'm already seeing signs of the trunk and hood "rubbing" on the other panels which has caused a bit of paint to fall off.

My 2015 Mustang GT is my third Mustang and my second GT. The 2015 is by far the best one that I have owned. I always wanted a Mustang, but being a mother of two children I didn't think it was rational. Well, one day I decided that I would test drive one just to see how it felt. Since then I was hooked and I bought one that same week! I admit I am a car girl and I am a sucker for power. This car fulfills every wish I can think of having in a car.
Story
Back to my super giant coworker. We had a meeting at a remote location and everyone was buddy-ing up to get there. I offered and my coworker accepted. As he and a another coworker walked to my car, he naturally offered the lady the front seat. I was not even thinking a thing about it until I told him to get in on my side and as he crunched down just to get into car we could not help but laugh... (more)
Pros
The clean lines of the new body style are beautiful and sexy. When you see it coming down the road you definitely know that it is a Mustang. I have the GT with the 50th anniversary styling package and it comes with leather seats that are heated and cooled. The seating is one of my favorite things about the car because it is so comfortable and easily adjustable to accommodate any size driver. I am 5'1" and it is as comfortable for me to drive as it is for my 6' tall husband. The new suspension, in my opinion, is the best thing since sliced bread! I can tell a huge difference in the handling... (more)
Cons
If I had to be a nitpicker and come up with one negative thing about this car I would point to the lack of air vents in the back. That's the only thing I could even suggest. And that's only because my kids brought it up to me. It is definitely not a big deal at all. And there is plenty of room in the back for my kids to ride comfortably. My 6' 7" coworker, not so much. He had to sit sideways.
