2002 Ford Thunderbird -
The 2002 Thunderbird convertible is a luxury sports car that can be found in excellent condition (original owners tend to not drive them much and not drive them hard). Prices are reasonable and most importantly are slightly appreciating. This means you can enjoy a low mileage, trouble-free car for nearly zero net cost. It is a pleasure to drive, smooth and quiet (with the top up) and not too windy with the top down.
Story
On many occasions, people will approach and compliment the car. Once, a young woman hung out her car window and yelled, "Your car is sick, man" (this was a compliment).
Pros
It has a smooth and powerful DOHC V8 engine, nice exhaust tone and handles well, with a smooth quiet ride. It is a relatively unique car and attracts attention wherever I go. It has a nice CD changer stereo. It is often mistaken for a restored '57 T-bird (which is copied after). The power top functions effortlessly, and it comes with a great-looking, removable hardtop.
Cons
The number one drawback is poor city gas mileage. Also, there is relatively little trunk space and room for only two people. The removable hardtop is a job for two strong people and takes up room in the garage when off the car.
