2007 Mazda Mazda3 OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Love it
This was my first vehicle. One of the things I have liked most throughout the last eight years is that there has been very little maintenance other than normal maintenance like oil changes, tire replacements, etc. The repairs that I have had to make on this vehicle were either from accidents (there have been two) or learning experiences. As a new car owner, I was unaware that Freon has to be kept up with or you can burn the condenser. Replacing the condenser was a hefty repair. Overall, the car has been wonderful, stable and my experience has been great.

Love my Mazda3!
This is a very powerful car with a gorgeous interior and really nice body style. What attracted me to it was the dark black interior as well as the slate gray paint color of the car. I had always driven Acuras in the past so was not sure how I would like a Mazda, but it is an excellent car and has convinced to purchase Mazdas from here on out. I have driven the car on several long trips out of state and it has performed exceptionally on all of them and never had an issue. It has great fuel economy and I average about 25 miles to the gallon for in city driving and a little closer to 30 for highway driving. The interior is very spacious and I have fit four people in addition to myself in the car and it was very comfortable for everyone. The car also has a great sound system and an auxiliary input jack so I am able to listen to music from iTunes on my phone while I am driving. All in all, I would definitely recommend the Mazda3 to anyone looking for a reliable, fuel-efficient and nice looking car. This car has never disappointed me and has been by far the best vehicle I have ever owned.

2007 Mazda 3 Sport: a fast and reliable economy car that does not sacrifice style for economics.
I have owned by black Mazda 3 Sport 2.3L for roughly three years now. I purchased the car used from a dealership in cash, and the car has been very good to me over the last 50,000 miles of driving. What I like most about the car is the performance vs. economy. Comparing 2.3L Sport to even newer 2015 models of the Corolla and Civic shows the car still holds its own in the lower gears. I was blown away how quickly the car can get up to 30 mph and into the 60's once the pedal is hit. What I dislike about the car is the build quality, and most of this is due to it being based on the Ford Focus body. This has now been fixed in newer models, but basically any part that was built by Ford on the car was lacking. The ride can be quite noisy, but for a millennial this is generally not an issue, since we listen to our music loudly to drown it out. All in all the drive train portion of the car has been quite reliable, and I have had zero issues, save dying o2 sensor on the exhaust manifold, since purchasing the vehicle at 100,000 miles. The car is a joy to drive, and gets out of its own way very quickly. The pedal is a bit hair trigger, but you get used to it quickly. The car has a very sporty style, and the addition of the tail fin is a must for this vehicle. Headlights, braking etc... are better than average for an economy car. I have driven a 2015 Corolla sport and was unimpressed, since the steering on the corolla just does not feel as tight. The 3 feels like you are driving a go kart, its much tighter and responsive. The word I would use is "plucky", it feels like it is much lighter on its feet than a civic or corolla. The best aspect of the car for me is the performance vs. gas mileage. The car will easily get 32 mpg on the highway, and no less than 25 in city. For the larger 2.3L variable timing engine, this is just awesome. The 2.0L vs. the 2.3L from the same year model is just like night and day. All in all, if this car was built again for 2017, I'd buy it in a heart beat (though it would be nice if it were all electric).
