Love this car. Very safe. Great gas mileage, especially because I work an hour away from where I live. 31 Mpg!
Story
Someone thought it was a Mercedes! These cars have a very sleek look. Love it.

The Mazda 3 is a rather decent vehicle overall. I get an average of 35 mpg which is pretty competitive, especially for the price. I own the hatchback version which has a lot of space. Often people remark that I have a small car and stuff won't fit. I say, just wait, and then usually the capacity blows them away. I can easily fit my bike inside, or all 4 of my unicycles. It's a 2WD, however, I have had very few issues driving in snowy mountain areas in Colorado. In fact, I've been driving along fine through a blizzard while watching trucks abandoned on the side of the road. The balance of the vehicle is excellent, making it fun to drive in summer, and provides more control in the winter. It's smaller, so I can fit through tight spots I hadn't before. Maintenance-wise, parts have been av... (more)
Story
I drove through this blizzard, determined to reach my boyfriend's house (poor life choices). On the main road out, I started counting the cars on the side of the road - a few pick ups, SUVs, a CRV. Then they closed the main road because of whiteout conditions. So I turn around, and head back. I then took a side route through the forest, seeing more and more abandoned vehicles. Naturally there ... (more)
Pros
Space - lots of space for a small car and well designed to maximize space. Outlets - has two 12V chargers, aux port, usb port, CD player, radio, and Bluetooth. Traction control - worked super well for me in the winter over two winters so far. Gas mileage - not the best, but 35mpg is plenty good enough for me. Fun to drive.
Cons
I had to replace a wheel well because a chunk of ice broke it. I reinstalled the new plastic piece with my dad (both of us are engineers). It was a pain. The hole in the old piece tore away the plastic clips - that is a cheap design to protect an expensive part of the vehicle. We had to add bolts on. Then, that piece fell off after a month or so and was shredded. Since then, I put a piece of plywood and cardboard down there and that has held up better.
