Reliable compact car
Overall the Mazda has worked great for me. It has rarely needed repairs and has been a very reliable car. The car drives very smoothly and feels as if it is gripped to the ground. It gets great gas mileage, and at over 100,000 miles it is still driving just as good as when I first purchased it eight years ago. The interior has enough space for everyone to be comfortable, even if you are sitting in the back. Mine has a black exterior and interior. The black on the interior has not been very hard to clean but you can sometimes easily see that it is dirty. I was surprised that my 2008 Mazda came with an Aux cord hook up. I use that every day and was so glad that it was included. The truck is spacious and has enough room to hold a ton of stuff. There are cup holders in the center console as well as on the side on the doors, which I find to be very useful. The stereo sound has always been great and overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

I'm going to drive this car 'til it dies!
I have owned my Mazda 3 for almost exactly 6 years. In the past, I have been a Toyota and Honda owner but decided to try a Mazda one more time. This is my second Mazda and, while the first one (25 years ago) was a good car, I could not be happier with my second one. One of the best features of this car is how solid it is - the doors close solidly. The substantial feel of the car makes it handle well even on wet, slippery roads or icy roads, so I feel very safe. We have taken this car on several long road trips of 1,200 miles or more and found this car to be very comfortable on a long trip. Once we decided to rent a car for one of our long trips so we wouldn't put so many miles on the car. We found the rental to be so uncomfortable that we went back to OUR car, OUR Mazda for the next road trip. I often had to travel for work and always took the Mazda because I knew it was a safe car for me to travel the freeways by myself. We have always found the gas mileage to be great. The few maintenance items we have had to take care of - new tail light, A/C repair - were easy and we didn't have to wait for hard to find, expensive parts. The interior of the car is set up so the driver can easily access the radio with some of the radio controls on the steering wheel - I really like that.
