I absolutely love my Mazda 3! I purchased this vehicle, and subsequently got into a very serious car accident. In an instant head-on collision, all airbags deployed properly and efficiently, and effectively saved my life. I then got another of the same car after the accident because I love it so much! The interior is a beautiful gray leather color that holds up beautifully. The car runs very quietly, making conversation and music even easier! There is very spacious leg room for passengers in the backseat, as well as cupholders. There is also high quality audio connectivity, including Bluetooth, aux jack, and USB ports. I am a softball player and needed a trunk large enough for my very large equipment bag. I am also a softball coach, so I needed space for several buckets of balls, nets,... (more)
Story
When I was a senior on my high school basketball team, my team would always take trips in my car to Friendly's before practices in Delaware. We would pack the car full of girls (you would be surprised how many people fit in a 5-seater), and we would blare 2000s throwback songs on the way to Friendly's!
Pros
There are many incredible features in this vehicle. Firstly, the back up camera shows not only directly behind the vehicle, but also laterally, which are essential when backing out of parking spots unable to see if cars are coming. The backup camera also beeps if a vehicle approaches the back of the car or is going to cross behind it. Another safety feature is the blind spot monitor. If a car is in a blind spot on either side of the car, the blind spot light is lit up on the side view mirror to indicate this. If the turn signal is put on with a car in the blind spot, the vehicle will also ... (more)
Cons
I have very few negative things to say about this vehicle. The tires that came with my vehicle, Bridgeport Ecopia 65R15s were insufficient to withstand the power and smoothness of this vehicle. I have been advised to put on better quality tires, and the car has run much more smoothly. Also, there are wheel locks on the hub cap nuts, which makes changing a flat tire a bit more inconvenient. For me, my key to unlock the nuts was broken, which made it even more of a hassle. The leather seats are sometimes inconvenient in extreme cold or hot weather, but the three degrees of seat warmers are h... (more)

I got this vehicle mainly because it is one of the few brands that still make a more than base model available with a manual transmission. My parents also still own a Mazda they bought in 2002. It still runs well, so I trusted the brand from the beginning. It was important to me to have a manual transmission along with a navigation system. At the time I purchased it, those two things were just about mutually exclusive. However, I found this vehicle online and watched some YouTube reviews and also looked at KBB. I became comfortable with the idea of purchasing. Overall, this car has performed very well for my purposes. I mainly use it to commute to work or school. For the price you get a lot of features. With my model I was able to upgrade to leather-ish seats, heated seats, navigation,... (more)
Story
Living in a more mountainous region, it is very fun to take the car up into the hills and play around with the manual transmission around the turns and over the hills, safely of course. This car can handle its own against any sports car.
Pros
I love the look of the car. It has an aggressive fascia that makes it look tough. The swooping lines of the body also gives it a sporty look that a lot of people look for in a manual transmission. The throws of the gears are short and very comfortable. Very smooth transmission. Would be good for someone just learning to drive a manual. The engine has some serious punch. This isn't your boring sedan. The interior is beautifully crafted. The upgraded models come with leather seats that are also heated. A great feature! We chose the black leather with red stitching. That combination is reflec... (more)
Cons
The negatives are few and far between. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the navigation system itself needs some updating and improvement. Rather than easily being able to put in a destination in another state, you have to change the "country" of your destination to the state your are traveling to. This seems pretty silly and caused a lot of confusion in the beginning. It is also challenging to sync your phone up to the car initially. The syncing process isn't too difficult, however, figuring out how to get pop-up alerts on the heads-up display when you get a text message is not a defa... (more)
