The Impala is always the reliable vehicle we turn to for family vacations. The monitoring system always notifies me when I have low pressure in my tires or when it is getting close to time for an oil change. The leather on the front and back seats are still in tact, it could pass as new. With the car already over 150,000 miles you would think the transmission would be on its last limbs, but it runs like a pro and speeds up like a jet. The sedan is large enough for a full car offering spacious leg room as well as cupholders and electric sliding seats to easily position your comfort zone. The heated seats in the winter is probably my favorite thing about this car. You can adjust the temperature of the seats for a very warm tush, or just a little thawing out of the frozen leather you have... (more)

Delivered pizzas in this vehicle for three years for Pizza Hut.
A Favor
My favorite feature of the Impala is the heated seats. Both the driver and passenger seat each have their own dial to control how warm they want their tush. In the winter this really helps thaw out your car and also is a nice warm welcome when entering your vehicle. Warming the seats up on automatic start is the way to go on a freezing cold day! I also really like all of the leg room the sedan offers. You can pack five people plus a cat in the vehicle comfortably with no problem or smushing. The black leather looks very clean and classy. It is also very easy to clean with wet wipes and mai... (more)
En Contra
The worst thing about the Impala is that it takes such wide turns. When trying to park I usually find my self almost attempting a three point turn around. It is difficult to attempt sometimes almost like I am driving a truck- but it sure does turn better than the Lincoln! Although the black leather may look very clean, classy, and fresh, it can be very scolding hot during the summertime (in Louisiana). Leather can be very difficult to sit on when you are hot and sweaty leaving you uncomfortable sitting in a pool of sweat. The other bad part is the headlight bulb falls out all the time and... When I first purchased my 2007 Chevy Impala, I was pretty happy with it. It was a smooth ride, that had a luxurious feel at a reasonable price. The gas mileage was decent (I believe around 28mpg), and it was a solid vehicle for normal everyday commutes. All of a sudden, however, after about 5 years of ownership, it began to fall apart. The power steering pump and hose began to leak, there was a delay in the transmission when upshifting, etc. To be fair, it didn’t start giving me significant issues until I started a new job that required farther commutes, but no matter what we fixed, something else would mess up soon afterwards.

I enjoyed a very smooth ride from Kansas to North Carolina as we drove 17 hours non-stop moving to our new home.
A Favor
I enjoyed the comfortable seats, the Air conditioner and heat worked consistently well, and it was the first vehicle I owned that had an auto start feature, which was cool. I liked the style of it, it felt very luxurious, and I had seen plenty of them on the road, which is usually a good indication that the vehicle is a dependable one. The trunk space was impressive for a sedan, we had no issues carrying groceries, and the car served as a useful tool when moving our stuff to a new house. And finally, the drive itself was very smooth, and compared to my other vehicles, you hardly felt like ... (more)
En Contra
The primary issues that I had with the vehicle were the dependability of the parts. From something as small as the decorative trim on the outside peeling off, revealing the unattractive adhesive underneath, to the entire transmission malfunctioning, forcing us to get a new one, the car just did not hold together. After getting the transmission fixed, the car began to get very wobbly, as if there were some sort of an issue with the axles. Blame the repair job, but there were plenty more issues before the transmission. Additionally, the vehicle would randomly give an error message that would... (more)
