Ford vehicles nowadays are very attractive. The Ford Edge is a newer model, but one that looks great and rides smoothly. The exterior of my SE is black with a chrome grille. It looks sporty, but is functional. It's a cross-over vehicle, so it's higher off the ground - actually higher than a Jeep Cherokee that I used to own. The tires are also high quality - Michelin's - which came standard with it. The interior is a micro-fiber type of upholstery, which I actually strongly prefer to leather (and it's more economical, too). It's a sand color which offsets the black exterior wonderfully. The control panels are on the dashboard, near the console and on the steering wheel. I don't mess with these too much while I'm driving, but it's nice to know that I can easily access them when necessa... (more)
Story
I didn't know that there were speed traps when I was driving up into the mountains and picked up quite a few speeding tickets that weekend (oops!).
Pros
Looks Safety Comfort Acceleration

The Edge SE is a great first buy for college students just branching out. There was a large amount of trunk space and easy fold down second row seats. I have moved homes/work places 8 times since purchasing this car and the trunk area holds a lot, including larger pieces of furniture. One of my favorite aspects of the Edge was the voice activated Sync to control the radio and phone. It made driving and using my phone much easier and was fairly easy to use. I have put over 100,000 miles on this vehicle and have yet to have any major mechanical issues. Fuel economy was good (21ish miles per gallon). I did not want a small, low to the ground car, but as a single adult I did not need a large SUV or truck. The Edge was a perfect compromise for my needs. I did not like the air vents... (more)
Story
I lived 3.5 hours from my parents and would drive back and forth a lot. My dog often made the trip with me. She loved the large back in when I had the second row folded flat. She would run around looking out all the windows and was not confined to one small area.
Pros
I really liked the smooth lines of the vehicle, the Sync voice activation of radio and phone, and large cargo area.
Cons
I was most disappointed with the air vents and upholstery tacking.
