Best compact SUV in it's class
This compact SUV is the perfect vehicle for those that want the option to be more rugged outdoors. Not only does this car handle city driving well, but it's most impressive when going camping in the wilderness. This SUV has one of the smoothest rides. The giddy up in this car is amazing as well. Does not handle like an SUV.

This has been my favorite car I've driven/owned. I had a non-hybrid Escape previously and was so happy to be able to upgrade when I could. The mileage has been great, especially for a small SUV. On any given day, it might be a rolling craft store or class or a political campaign office. It did take me a little bit of time to get used to the engine turning off whenever I stopped the car, and it still makes some friends who ride with me a bit nervous. The ride is fabulous, very smooth, but you can still feel the road. Much more like a car than a truck. Seats are easy to get in and out of, though my 80+ mom now does take longer to be able to get in. The SYNC that connects my phone to the stereo system is fabulous, so I did not continue with the Sirius membership. The sound quality is perfect and the steering wheel controls are very comfortable to use. The engine has not given me any issues. By far, the best feature is the combination of the ride/driving experience and the space available to carry things. It's great for a day of thrift shopping. I had hoped when I bought it that I would be able to drive it for at least 10 years. It wouldn't surprise me if I can take it to at least 15.
