15 years old and going strong this SUV has it all. I can't find anything like it in the market today and will drive it until the wheels fall off! It runs and drives like it's new with very minimal maintenance required. This thing is a beast and has proven it time and time again. I can haul 8 people not including myself plus weeks worth of groceries with little effort. With a v10 engine and a 3/4 ton body, I can do anything with it. Need to pull a trailer? Check. Need to carry multiple families in one vehicle? Check. It has 4 wheel drive so icy roads and muddy places are nothing for it. With the SUV being so big, it gets poor mpg and is difficult to park in small spots.
Story
We were pulling out tree roots with it and the rope snapped causing our truck to go forward and our front end ended up in the ditch up to the axle. A Chevy truck was going by and stopped to pull us out "because we should have bought a Chevy."
Pros
I have several favorite features of the Excursion. I love the safety of it, I'm easily one of the biggest passenger vehicles on the road. I can haul 8 passengers at once plus have room for luggage in the back making it super convenient. It has a v10 engine and a 3/4 ton body making it great for towing anything I need pulled.
Cons
There are a few negatives, my fuel economy is horrible. I only get about 10 mpg and it costs a lot to fill the tank. I also have a hard time getting into smaller parking lots because if the size.

2003 Ford Excursion - I love the car. It has so much room and is so comfortable for all of our family to ride in.

Our entire family loves this vehicle. It has so much room and we can all fit in the car. We took it on vacation and had absolutely no problems. We had plenty of room for our whole family to travel and all our stuff, too. And it has so much legroom, which is always important. The rear cargo area has more room to haul things than any other vehicle I've ever seen. Our vehicle is older so there are some things wrong with it, but that's to be expected. Aside from that, I've never had a vehicle that I love more than this one. It is a huge vehicle, so if someone isn't comfortable driving larger vehicles it isn't for you. As for our family though, it is an absolutely perfect fit!
Story
Loading up our vehicle and going on our first big family vacation. We loved it!
Pros
Plenty of room for everyone and everything. The vehicle can hold nine passengers plus plenty of storage. Trailer hitch so you can haul trailers. Sits high off the ground. Very safe vehicle.
Cons
If you aren't comfortable driving larger vehicles then this Ford isn't for you. It also gets really bad gas mileage.
