The Ford 500 is considered a car intended to replace the Taurus by some people and the Taurus was one of Fords best selling cars. That means when they designed the 500 it had to live up to the expectations, and I believe they knocked it out of the park. I always liked the smooth ride of sedans but the Ford 500 sealed the deal for me. The all around versatile functionality of the four door 500 is only matched by the power under the hood and the space in the trunk. The interior of the Ford 500 is pleasantly classic with chrome trimmed parts and all of the options conveniently located in easy to reach places. The visibility versus privacy factor of the window is just right as it allows for a good view without sacrificing too much privacy towards the interior. The car also never gave me an... (more)
Story
Let me just say that although I did not exceed the speed limit I don't condone racing! That being said, while on the way to work I had just picked up a coworker and we were sitting at a red light when a mustang next to us started to rev his engine. I nodded at him, since he is a fellow Ford owner of course, and acted as if I was going to race him. I planned to accelerate as fast as I could but... (more)
Pros
The gas mileage I get is averaging around 25-27 miles to gallon so its got good mileage. The sound system is superb. The color of the car is perfect. The interior set up is very well designed and is actually comfortable and things are easy to find. The components of the dashboard are arranged nicely so it is very easy to adjust the stereo and heat/cool controls without looking away from the road or just using your peripheral. The car is very stable when on the highway it feels very solid and the tires grip surprisingly well to the road. The headlights are sufficiently bright in most cases ... (more)
Cons
I don't like that it doesn't have very deep cup holders. The air conditioner is very loud. The interior could definitely be a little quieter while on the highway. The head rests are shaped rather odd and are slightly uncomfortable. Besides what I have already mentioned I would be lying if I added any more cons. I simply don't have anymore critique or cons so I spend some extra time on a memorable story.

This has been a good car for my family since we do not put a significant amount of miles on it every year. It has proven to be a safe vehicle to transport my toddler son around town in since his birth. It has needed some repairs and replacements due to normal wear and tear and the fact that it is an older vehicle at this point. One thing I have not liked is the need to replace outside trim on one side of the car's exterior and also the need to repair the sun roof. I feel like those things should have held up a bit better, but we do live in an area where we have winter snow, and it is parked outside. Overall, the quality of the car is good, and it has performed well for the most part.
Story
I have enjoyed driving this car in the snow. I recall having to dig it out of two feel of snow last winter and drive it out of a snow-packed parking area, and it handled very well with no problems.
Pros
The car handles very well and feels safe to drive in poor weather conditions. This car is attractive looking on the outside and is comfortable to drive and ride in. I like that it has a six-cylinder engine and feels powerful when driving. This car has held up well for us while my husband is getting his doctorate degree and we have less income. We needed a safe and reliable vehicle to get around town for several years, and we anticipate it carrying us through for the next two years while he finishes his education.
Cons
This car gets less than 20 miles per gallon, so the fuel economy is not the best. It has needed some exterior and cosmetic repairs that I was disappointed in. The sun roof needed repair as it leaked, and some of the outside door trim needed replacing.
