I had looked at and wanted this car for some time. The outside build is one of a kind. The inside was nice too, leather seats and all the bells and whistles. I love the fact that we could fit 7 people and it's not a minivan. We have 3 kids and always have their friends with us so we needed the space. After about 6 months the door sensor went out telling us the door was never closed even while driving. The inside lights took anywhere from 5-20 minutes to turn off. Even when the car was off. So I was always worried the battery was going to die. This was annoying but under warranty so we got it fixed right away.
Story
My best memories of this car is that I can pick up my kids and my friends and their kids because of all the room and all the car seats I can fit.
Pros
The seating was a top positive. Even the third row seating was roomy enough for myself a 5'4 average build female to sit in. The car seat latch compatibility was good as well. Third row seating offers one seat with lower latch anchors as well as tether points. All three middle seats offer tether points and window seats offer lower latch anchors. These are all necessary if you have lots of little kids in car seats.
Cons
Electrical components went out to much. First 6 months in it was a door. Then 1 yr. old was the window sensor. 2 years later it's the other backseat door and truck gets stuck half way open every time I try and open it.

The Ford Flex is one of the best cars I've ever owned. It's a modern station wagon with the interior space of a van and the great, exterior look of an SUV. The interior has a very sleek, modern look and holds up well to heavy usage. It handles well and is a very quiet ride.
Story
We had a great time taking this car to the beach. We backed it up to the water and had tons of room for tailgating!
Pros
The best thing about the car is the space capacity. With both rows of seats folded down, you get about six feel of cargo space. The seating is roomy. There is quite a bit of head space, making it feel as though you're riding in the cab of a truck. It's mechanically sound and a very dependable, reliable vehicle.
Cons
There are only two real negative about the car. First, is the third-row seating. There is little-to-no leg room. It's really not suitable for adults. Even my older child has to sit cross-legged. Secondly, Ford's on-board computer system, SYNC, can be really finicky at times. It gets exponentially worse before a software upgrade. But, after it does that, it will work just fine for a few months. Thankfully though, this does not interfere with the drivability of the car; just the radio, phone and navigation systems.
