The car is very solid feeling, and I really like the interior finishes. The seats are very comfortable and supportive. I like the number of ways that the seat can be adjusted to fit each drive. My wife and I are much different in height, and the memory seat function makes changing drivers very easy. The ride of the car is extremely quiet and smooth. We have had no trouble using the infotainment and navigation system. They both seem to be easy to use and reliable. We have two children who regularly ride in the back seat area, and they have plenty of room and are comfortable. We have been able to have up to six adults in the car for short drives, and they have been comfortable as well. My wife and I took the vehicle on a short weekend trip with our dog. We went to a place that was a little out of the way, so we had to take our food with us. We stopped at the grocery store prior to leaving on our five-hour journey and had plenty of room for the dog to ride comfortably with all of our food and luggage. I had wanted a Ford Flex since they first came to the market. I loved how different they were to everything else on the road today. More importantly, the Flex had a retro look and feel. I am a nut for station wagons and had not had one since I was a kid. I really was drawn to the boxy look of the car. I have read that previous reviews called the Flex a rolling refrigerator and I said that's just what I want. This is the first brand new car I have owned, and I ordered it from a Ford dealership. I built out the spec sheet to my exact specifications. I was so excited and tracked my car being built along the way.
Story
The Flex is a perfect beach vehicle. You can fit all your beach gear (chairs and boogie boards) in and not feel crowded. Plus you look cool!
Pros
The positive things about the Ford Flex, now that I have had it for a year, are still the same things that drew me to the vehicle in the beginning. The retro look (mine is red with a white roof), I love the interior of my car (tan leather), and the three rows of seats (more room in this car than in my old SUV). The seats are so comfortable and wide because the Flex is wider than most cars. The seats can be configured so many ways that it makes the care very versatile. Cons
The biggest negative about the Ford Flex is the interface. You have to take your eyes off the road to make sure you get the heat on, or to change radio because it is a touch screen. This seems really dangerous to me, so I usually don't touch it unless someone else is with me — then they change the settings.
