I have owned my 2007 Ford Freestyle for almost 9 years. I bought it used and while it's not the best looking car that I have ever owned it is by far the most reliable. I have over 180,000 miles and the most serious problem was having to get the motor mount replaced ($180). The all wheel drive has not failed me in a snowstorm. I'm very comfortable driving it and feel secure with my young daughter in it.
Story
During the winter, my friends with brand new cars were having trouble getting theirs started in the minus 20 degree weather. My 180,000 mile Freestyle started up on the first try with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. I call it my old reliable. I've never paid off a car in my entire life, let alone run it this long. But it's been too reliable to retire. I'll be driving it until the wheels fall off ... (more)
Pros
* Reliable * AWD - excellent in the snow * Very comfortable - easy to transport older relatives who sometimes have difficulty getting in or out of a car. Doesn't sit too high or too low to the ground. * Middle row bucket seats allow easy entry to the third row seating. * Great for transporting larger items since all the back seats fold down.
Cons
* Kind of ugly (in a cute sort of way) * Not a lot of color choices * Air conditioner no longer gets cold unless car is moving * Not a big demand for them, so a lower resale value

The Ford Freestyle is an excellent vehicle for moving people and product around. We purchased this vehicle because we frequently travelled with others as well as hauled equipment around for our company. It is a hardy vehicle that continues to perform even well over 200k miles.
Story
One time we were able to fit in 5 people and a TON of equipment for a playground (we build playgrounds), and drove across several states to put on a show. It was actually ridiculous how much this little car could handle.
Pros
- Hardy. Long lasting and well performing even after 200k. - Tons of interior space for passengers, seats 7. - All the seats fold down in the back creating a ton of space for equipment, storage, and product transportation. - Easy to transform car to carry passengers or product.
Cons
- It is an older model - The trunk door shape is a trapezoid, so larger on bottom, smaller on top, which makes loading difficult when you know a package will fit in the car but you cant get it in easily
