I loved this vehicle from the first day we bought it. We had previously owned a Chevy Tahoe but it was a little smaller than the Suburban. My Suburban is the ultimate family vehicle for us. Whether taking short trips or long trips, I prefer taking the Suburban over all my other vehicles. Driving the Suburban makes me feel like I own the road. It runs terrific, even when it's pushing over 200,000 miles. The dark blue-grayish color is perhaps my favorite color option they had on this model. It is a comfortable ride and I've had others compliment how smooth it drives. With all the room inside, it is perfect to take camping and raise the back hatch to sleep out of. It gives me comfort to know how sturdy and well built this vehicle is if I ever got into an accident. I have driven this vehic... (more)

Me and my family took the suburban to Smoky Mountains in Tennessee just recently. We drove it Cade's Cove and enjoyed a picnic out on the field while looking at wildlife. During that trip, we also drove up to Clingman's Dome one evening and hiked the trail to watch the sunset. Beautiful and breathtaking experience.

First of all, I love how the vehicle was equipped with OnStar. In case I ever needed assistance on the side of the road, I know that OnStar will be there ready to help. I definitely love the leather interior and the heated seats. Definitely helps when it's cold outside or you have a sore back. The entertainment is another thing that is definitely a plus. It offers am/fm stereo and a CD player. If I get tired with what the radio stations are playing, I can just pop in a cd and still listen to music. The suburban also has a DVD player and it alone entertains my children when going on long tr... (more)

It is a big vehicle and if I'm needing to get into a tight parking space... forget it. This vehicle isn't the type to squeeze in to small spaces. There is no 4WD. Don't get me wrong, I've had it up mountains and low in valleys, but as far as snow goes it will only get you so far without the 4WD. With it being a big vehicle, it is hard to clean up because of the space. It takes a while vacuuming the carpets and wiping the interior down. When cleaning the exterior, it's hard to reach the top and clean it. I can only hope it looks decent from up top. The nobs on the inside, like for the radio... (more)

I bought my 2003 Suburban in 2007 with 63,000 miles on it. Prior, I had owned a Chevy S10 and had considered it one of the best vehicles I'd ever had, so moving to another Chevy product seemed an easy choice. I've driven the 'Burb for ten years and an additional 120,000 miles before my first and only major repair. At around 180,000 miles, the transmission started to slip. I immediately had a new one put in. It wasn't even a question as to whether or not I'd be keeping the vehicle. It's just too good at too many different things. So what do I like about it: dependable, incredibly quiet cabin on the highway, powerful--it tows very well, and when you're not hauling something behind you, it has amazing pickup for something so large. The Suburban has a lot of interior room; you can comforta... (more)

Four-low crawl up a very steep and rocky "Jeep-only" trail in the heart of the Arizona desert to catch an amazing sunset.
A Favor
Comfortable, powerful, quiet and capable.
En Contra
Horrendous gas mileage. Can be difficult to park if you're not familiar with larger vehicles, but that soon becomes a non issue. The A-pillar is large, and on the driver's side, it can block your view. You'll be moving your head around it to make sure nothing and no one is in your path.
