Chevy Suburban: the best vehicle I've owned.
I bought my 2003 Suburban in 2007 with 63,000 miles on it. Prior, I had owned a Chevy S10 and had considered it one of the best vehicles I'd ever had, so moving to another Chevy product seemed an easy choice. I've driven the 'Burb for ten years and an additional 120,000 miles before my first and only major repair. At around 180,000 miles, the transmission started to slip. I immediately had a new one put in. It wasn't even a question as to whether or not I'd be keeping the vehicle. It's just too good at too many different things. So what do I like about it: dependable, incredibly quiet cabin on the highway, powerful--it tows very well, and when you're not hauling something behind you, it has amazing pickup for something so large. The Suburban has a lot of interior room; you can comfortably seat 6 large adults and still have plenty of space for gear in the back. True four-wheel drive with 4/low. If you are serious about hunting or camping, the vehicle crawls rough/steep terrain very well. Wheelbase and body height make for poor break-over angle, but it is amazingly capable off-highway for something so large and heavy. It's comfortable; you can drive all day and won't find yourself beat up or exhausted. On long drives it's just an amazing rig. Fit and finish inside and out are very good as well. The only drawback I see is fuel economy. It uses a lot of fuel unless you're extremely careful with the throttle, and even at that, it's still going to be bad. That said, if you need or want this kind of vehicle, you can't go wrong with a Suburban.

My love for a Chevy!!!!
I loved this vehicle from the first day we bought it. We had previously owned a Chevy Tahoe but it was a little smaller than the Suburban. My Suburban is the ultimate family vehicle for us. Whether taking short trips or long trips, I prefer taking the Suburban over all my other vehicles. Driving the Suburban makes me feel like I own the road. It runs terrific, even when it's pushing over 200,000 miles. The dark blue-grayish color is perhaps my favorite color option they had on this model. It is a comfortable ride and I've had others compliment how smooth it drives. With all the room inside, it is perfect to take camping and raise the back hatch to sleep out of. It gives me comfort to know how sturdy and well built this vehicle is if I ever got into an accident. I have driven this vehicle in rough terrain and it hasn't disappointed me yet. Up steep mountains or down steep slopes, this vehicle is up to the task. I even named my Suburban "Big Bertha". My Suburban has been through a lot with me and my family and I hope to continue using it until it's on its last wheel.
