Outstanding affordable 8 seater for big families.
I like the seating capacity (8), the storage in the cargo area, and the reliability. We have over 90,000 miles with no mechanical issues, but have kept up with all routine maintenance. The leather interior has held up to multiple children and the vehicle handles well in all road conditions. We use it to tow a small 24' RV and it has handled mountain passes well in 2nd gear when towing. Gas mileage is average for an SUV, running between 12 and 16 mpg depending upon the type of driving.

Adventurous family vehicle
We bought the Ford Expedition because we needed a powerful vehicle to tow our camper, but also a roomy and comfortable vehicle to fit our family of five. The Expedition perfectly fills this roll. We can easily get packed in the vehicle for long trips with ample room still. Unlike several other third-row seating vehicles we looked at, the trunk space is still generous and we have no problem packing up. As a family that loves to travel and regularly tows a large camper, we love the tow package and how easily we can tell if the braking system is connected and working. We also have never experienced the sag where the trailer connects to our hitch because the Expedition is just that strong and powerful. It's also great that the vehicle still accelerates well despite towing a large trailer. No one wants to get stuck behind a super slow vehicle that's towing something large - we don't have that worry! Also, it has handled Central New York winters without a problem. This vehicle is a beast and we plan on getting another when our secondary vehicle is ready for a trade in. We'll happily own two Expeditions!
