With a 60 mile commute each day, mileage is important. By purchasing a hybrid, I have cut my monthly gas bill in half. Moreover, this vehicle is extremely comfortable for long drive, easy to maneuver, and has all the features I was looking for (heated seats, cruise control, leather interior, electric windows and seats, rear defrost, automatic temperature control, and so much more). I was leery of a hybrid when it comes to maintenance, but it doesn't require anything more than a traditional gas-operated vehicle. I can't say enough how great a hybrid is for anyone who has a daily driving commute! This will cut you fuel bill by half or more. In fact, the auto industry needs to go all hybrid! It's better for the environment and saves money for the owner. Insurance is no more than a regular... (more)
Story
When I went to purchase new tires, my tire shop folks couldn't figure out how to start the car - although it starts like a traditional vehicle. It's just that after you turn the key, you don't hear it come on. I've had several people ask, "How do you know it's running?".
Pros
Love the hybrid aspect because it saves me money! Also love the heated seats - very great in the winter. The ability to charge my phone is awesome. Cup holders are located in the right spot. I particularly love satellite radio - it's all I listen to.
Cons
I had previously driven SUVs for over a decade, so giving up that much trunk space was an adjustment. Because the electric battery takes up half the trunk, there isn't as much room. Also, the lack of a spare tire (even a donut) is a drawback. Ford has tried to compensate for this with an air compressor, but I would rather have a spare. The compressor is no good if you have a blow out. That is the main drawback to this vehicle.

Ford stepped up their game with the Ford Fusion. The styling and finish far exceed any Ford of the past. I was hesitant to buy a Ford, but the constantly positive reviews were too compelling to ignore. I was looking to downsize from my full size sedan, and with increasing gas prices investigating hybrid vehicles became a priority to me. I knew there would be sacrifices, but I felt that the benefit outweighed potential negatives. Overall, I like my purchase, the gas mileage, styling, and reliability have been a plus. My only complaint is the trunk, the battery shelf is a big hindrance and makes longer pieces to be cumbersome.
Story
I once challenged myself to drive a one way trip from PA to OH, on one tank of gas. I drove 501 miles on one tank of gas without stopping, I finished with 1 mile to empty.
Pros
The styling is second to none, the car resembles a luxury vehicle. It has aggressive styling without looking cartoonish. The gas mileage, while lower than stated is still exceptional, and at least double from my previous vehicle. The interior space was a welcome surprise, there is plenty of room for four adults and a baby seat. I can even fit two golf bags.
Cons
The trunk shelf is a big hindrance to normal trunk luggage. And there are still some styling cues that miss the mark, but not much.
