I have driven a Prius in the past for a job but have never owned a hybrid myself. I like that the Ford Fusion hybrid doesn't feel like I am driving a hybrid. Even in Eco Mode, which the car is in 99% of the time, the car is very responsive and accelerates quickly. The display allows me to drive with better MPG because it shows me how aggressively I can press the gas pedal before I kick in to the gas engine. The interior feels very high-end and other people have commented on it as well. I like the sport style bucket seats. Even though the batteries are kept in the trunk there is still quite a bit of usable trunk space.
Story
Just took it on a road trip to Las Vegas. Only cost about $28 round trip and we had a great time talking and listening to Sirius there and back.
Pros
The leg room is the best thing about this car. I am 6'4" and with the driver's seat set all the way back I can stretch my legs completely (no bend in the knees) when not rested on the pedals. It doesn't look like a hybrid. The styling is much better than any other hybrid under 35k. The gas mileage is really incredible. I have a heavy foot and don't drive optimally but I still average 38 miles per gallon. The MyTouch system is very intuitive and the phone integration is great. The dual climate zone feature is very helpful since I run hot and my wife runs cold.
Cons
The car is really low to the ground. My 6'4" frame has trouble getting out of it and I bottom out occasionally on curbs or large dips in the road. The "Miles Until Empty" reading is not accurate and should be updated based on my average MPGs.

I love the power of this car, when I need to avoid dangerous situations there is no lag in power or turning. You must watch your speed because you can easily get up to 120 in this car without realizing it since it makes nearly no noise unless you accelerate hard. The seats are fully adjustable and provide much loved heat when it's cold out. Dual climate controls and vents in the back keep everyone cool/warm during hot weather. The ability to use my phone without touching it to make calls is awesome.
Story
I drive a lot, recently we went camping in the Los Padres National Forest Ponderosa Campground and I was able to fit a vast portion of stuff in the trunk and the interior area making things easier. It is really an accommodating vehicle. I don't really care for SUV's and the such, so this was perfect.
Pros
Gas savings Power when you need it No lag between electric use and gasoline use No waste of gas while sitting in backed up traffic until it has to recharge Heating seats - helpful for long drives, back pain, and with keeping warm Sleek appearance Plenty of foot space in the back and front
Cons
The battery area takes up a big portion of the trunk space. If they could find a different and safe area to put that in, the trunk would be much bigger and not multi-level. No spare tire, only a inflate a flat system which doesn't work for a punctured tire.
