2013 Ford Edge - Family Fun
My favorite thing about the Ford Edge is the roominess! When we were looking into first buying a car, I was pregnant, and we had a one year old daughter too. I knew how much space car seats take up in the back seat, specifically the space they use in relation to the front seats. My husband is fairly tall, so we needed something where he wouldn't have to move his seat up and be cramped in the front, so that the car seats had room in the back. I love how much space there is between the front and back seats! Another fun bonus is the panoramic sun roof which is pretty entertaining for our kids to look out of. Another reason I went with the Edge is because of its trunk room. Since we have two kids now, we have a double stroller, and those bad boys don't fit in most trunks, but it fits quite... (more)
Story
We recently drove to LAX to pick up my mom. We arrived early and stopped by the beach with our kids. The spontaneous trip was so much fun! We were able to easily sunscreen the kids and brush the sand off of them when we were done at the beach in the trunk space.
Pros
Spacious, family friendly, lots of cup holders.
Cons
A little expensive, gas guzzler, without the eco-boost option it's a bit sluggish.
2013 Ford Edge - Very impressive ride and quality
The build quality is excellent. The materials are very impressive and feel high end. I really like the fact that the car sits up higher off of the ground with nearly 8 inches of ground clearance. The 3.5L v6 engine also has plenty of power bringing in nearly 285 horse power and about 254 ft lbs of torque.
Story
It is great to be able to drive my family around and go up to my cabin up north.
Pros
The McPherson struts and shocks are also of great quality and contribute to the ride quality and comfort. The fuel economy is rated at 19 city and 27 highway and it has been averaging about 23 mixed driving for me. I really like the rear hatch and all of the cargo room that is available.
