First, I like the overall appearance of the car. The lines make it appear sleek on the road. When driving the car, one can't help but notice and appreciate the spacious and comfortable seating. On the leather option, the leather is soft and smooth to the touch. I would highly recommend getting the heated or cooled seating amenities. The sunroof is large and easy to operate. I feel like I'm practically driving a convertible with just a touch of a button. The quality of the build is superior. I love all the safety features. The blind spot alerts in the side mirrors is irreplaceable. Also, the lane sensors are an added safety feature that puts safety first. Even with heavy urban traffic and rough roads, the ride is quiet and smooth. It's easy to sink down, turn on some music and easily co... (more)
Story
Vacation that involved camping. We were visiting a national park. The hard part is trying to fit all the camping gear in a small SUV, along with four people. The extra storage space under the trunk cover in the wheel well proved to be a game changer. With a little bit of puzzle strategy, the trunk soon became a pantry on wheels. There was talk about possibly getting a bigger car after that tri... (more)

Was on the fence about getting a Ford till I test drove the Edge. And after, you might not believe this, I test drove a BMW SUV. Thinking it was going to be great, the BMW ended up feeling archaic in comparison. The Edge is a really well-made SUV that drives like a car, feels solid and has a very nice upscale interior rivaling some of the luxury brands.
Story
Driving to Vegas with a friend I had not seen in 12 years was awesome and super comfortable! We were both surprised at how rested we were when we arrived!
Pros
I really like the design of the car inside and out. It, for some reason, seems to have been designed much better that any of the other cars and SUVs they have in their line up (and I have driven them all). It has enough get up and go, has a nice spacious interior and is easy and comfortable to drive.
Cons
Apparently, this is a known problem, but the rear light covers tend to fog up. Small nuisance. Steering can be a little vague at times, almost like the power steering suddenly ticks it up a notch. Some of the trim also doesn't line up like in an Audi or Mercedes, but the fact that I am even comparing it to those brands, shows how well Ford made the Edge.
