Great road trip companion over the years
My 2006 Ford Fusion has been a great road trip car over the last several years. I am just now hitting 200k miles and am starting to have problems, but it isn't anything out of the ordinary for that old of a car! After all this time, it is still comfortable, easy to drive, and stylish looking. I still get just as great gas mileage as I did when it was new. The engine inside is a 6 cylinder, which has enough pick up for when you need to get going but doesn't guzzle gas like an 8-cylinder car. The speakers in this car have a great sound after all this time too. I recently added an after market stereo with Bluetooth capability and played some old songs I haven't heard in years. When they were playing, I noticed things I hadn't heard before and understood lyrics I previously had trouble with. No matter what type of music you listen to, it will sound good as you're flying down the road. The only thing that has been really problematic about this car is the door handles. I have probably gone through five door handles in the life of this car. I will be opening the door normally and all of a sudden something inside the handle will snap and it no longer works like it used to. This is not a cheap repair either!!!! Ford has assured me they've fixed this issue in their newer models, so once I get a new Fusion, I can leave this issue behind me. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone out there looking.

Run-of-the-mill American sedan
I owned this car from 2011-2013. In that time it was a very comfortable ride. The interior was extremely roomy in both front and back. It had good pick up, thanks to the v6 engine. The steering also felt great along with the suspension, which made for a smooth ride. It was great for me because I did a long-distance (360-mile round trip) drive at least once a week. The radio performed well and the speakers were clear and well balanced, which is a must for me as I can't even imagine driving without having music on the entire time.
