I owned this car from 2011-2013. In that time it was a very comfortable ride. The interior was extremely roomy in both front and back. It had good pick up, thanks to the v6 engine. The steering also felt great along with the suspension, which made for a smooth ride. It was great for me because I did a long-distance (360-mile round trip) drive at least once a week. The radio performed well and the speakers were clear and well balanced, which is a must for me as I can't even imagine driving without having music on the entire time.
Pros
The car was very comfortable, both due to a roomy interior and a great suspension, making it comfortable and easy to sit in for long hours. It was reliable, besides normal wear and tear to be expected with any vehicle. As long as oil changes are performed on time, the engine stayed in excellent running condition right up until the day I sold it. Here's my nugget: For a sedan, the car can actually be slept in very comfortably. I was homeless in it for almost eight months. If you fold the back seat down, it becomes totally level with the trunk floor, and you can lay completely stretched out ... (more)
Cons
It didn't get great gas mileage for a sedan. I actually have had a v6 3.8L truck that got at least 5mpg more than this car. A lot of the plastic paneling on the interior started disconnecting and falling off, just due to normal use. Also, the bulbs seemed to burn out much faster than any car I have had before.

My 2006 Ford Fusion has been a great road trip car over the last several years. I am just now hitting 200k miles and am starting to have problems, but it isn't anything out of the ordinary for that old of a car! After all this time, it is still comfortable, easy to drive, and stylish looking. I still get just as great gas mileage as I did when it was new. The engine inside is a 6 cylinder, which has enough pick up for when you need to get going but doesn't guzzle gas like an 8-cylinder car. The speakers in this car have a great sound after all this time too. I recently added an after market stereo with Bluetooth capability and played some old songs I haven't heard in years. When they were playing, I noticed things I hadn't heard before and understood lyrics I previously had tro... (more)
Story
We have driven this car all over. We just recently drove it from Indiana to South Carolina for the Great American Solar Eclipse!
Pros
Stylish. Easy to drive. Great gas mileage. Good speakers. Engine quick response.
Cons
Door handles breaking. Some repairs more costly than other cars.
