I liked my vehicle when I first bought it, but after about a week, the transmission went out. I got it fixed, and now a sensor is messed up causing it to miss! I love the design of the car, the roomy back seat, and the interior is very nice as well. The car is beautiful but not dependable at all. After much research, I learned that Ford Fusion's transmissions go out often, and they are not cheap to replace. Other than that, it is a wonderful family car. I love the way it drives, and it is really smooth and comfortable on a long trip. I love that it has a sunroof and an excellent sound system. Overall, the car is really nice but not as dependable as I would like for it to be. I am already having trouble out of the new transmission, and it has only been in the car for about five months.
Story
My husband and I got a baby sitter for the kids, let the sunroof back, and just drove for a couple of hours enjoying the cool summer breeze. The car drives so smooth, and we had the CD player on listening to the soft thump of the base. It was a really great evening out to just relax and drive.
Pros
The body style. The sunroof. The sound system. Plenty of room in the back seat. Nice interior. Smooth ride and great for long trips. The traction control works wonderfully. This car is excellent with gas; it doesn't use much at all.
Cons
This car is not dependable. This car has had a brand-new transmission put it, and it is already going out after five months. The first one already went out. The CD player is generic. The interior is light in color, hard to keep clean. The parts for this car are expensive.

I really liked this car. It is very sturdy and I have had pretty much 0 problems with it. The seats are extremely comfortable, and I have even driven it 1500 miles over 2 days with no back pain, which is rare in most cars for me. One thing I didn't like was the gas mileage.
Story
I had this car living in New Hampshire, and it was great to pack the car with four other friends, and a trunk full of food and drinks and drive to Hampton Beach for the day.
Pros
This vehicle was extremely reliable. I have put 40,000 miles on it, bought it at 130,000. In that time, all I have had to do is change the tires and regularly change the oil. The steering is very tight, and the alignment has stayed perfect. The interior is extremely sleek and very comfortable, I like the look of the dashboard. The radio plays well, with quality speakers which is very important to me. It even handle better than any car I have ever owned in the snow.
Cons
I did have a few negative experiences with the car. The gas mileage in my experience was not very good for a mid sized sedan. Especially driving off the highway, I was lucky to get 16-18 miles per gallon. I have owned a truck that got better gas mileage than that. It was also difficult to access certain parts underneath the hood that are easy in most cars. The headlights were difficult to change. This is a great car to sleep in too. If you fold the seat down in the back, you can open the trunk into the cab and lay there, with your feet in the trunk, and the space is probably a little short... (more)
